Damn, that’s almost a shock to see it like that haha
Most likely the last post I’ll make on it, video is probably way too long for what it is but well, you’ll get to see a crazy Subaru Sambar van, a Daihatsu Mira Gino, a Crown Royal Saloon and get a little ride inside Derek’s R32 VW Golf!
....but when they do it’s super slow and sideways! Derek from Pacific Coast Auto at the wheel of my RX7. The 3rd person other than me to ever drive it since I got the car if I think about it.
Taken on the way back home on the freeway... Weirdly, my RX7 is as fast as a Golf 4 R32... I did NOT expect that.
So glorious... :D
Ice driving for hours and hours tomorrow!
Finally upgraded my 1997 Michelin Ice Radial tires to something else! Yeah, better later than never! Next week I’ll be meeting in Nagano with a friend you guys might already know, Derek Weldon from Pacific Coast Auto in Yokohama, for some winter driving shenanigans on a frozen lake! He bought a VW Golf 4 R32 for the…
I spare you the usual keitrucks and uninteresting cars to focus on the kind of cool stuff... how about starting with a hearse? :)
Not his email but funny nonetheless :D
That’s sadly what can happen during those test drives... Better have head gasket blown by me here than 8000 miles away by a customer... Still SUCK though :(
Nothing much to say other than it was a lot of fun! All non-static subjects shot with a Canon T2i and a Tamron 18-270mm with a broken zoom ring and a broken autofocus. Static pictures taken with the same camera but a MUCH nicer Canon 16-35mm F2.8 L ISM III that I rented for the day... Quite happy of the result…
Really cool to see Ken Block in Japan... I wish he did a Gymkhana video here, that would be really freaking cool.
Crazy shit on wheels, here I come!
Yep, this is what happen when you live in a country that tends to be a bit disconnected from the rest of the world :D
Next to it was an 8C Convertible... Guess what? I completely forgot to take pictures of the 8C... For a sec I did not give a fuck about that damn 8C :)
Outside of the garage for the first time in maybe about 6 years! It needed a new fuel pump and a new fuel pump relay but it runs! Now there’s an oil leak we have to figure out and the thermostat might be dead as it overheats, BUT IT RUNS!!!!
My godfather helped prepare the real car for the 1993 edition of the 24 hours of Le Mans... He has been trying to get the 1/43 diecast for many years and I finally found it here in Japan. The car will leave on monday to France... A bit late for Xmas but cool nonetheless :)
My father, who had access to the TAT’s testing…
... Always been a problem :)
Freezing my ass off in the wind for this small event that was really pretty cool! Lots of nice cars, from the Lexus LC500 to old Lotus racers. Fun!
