Technology will one day surpass any physical standards set by the NHTSA. Who’s to say we won’t invent a vehicle capable of utilizing a type of see through polymer that is more industrial grade than steel, so as to create doors that needn’t require any metal in them? Who’s to say that we cannot create a canopy device

I’ve got to go out on a limb here and say that the 1970 Pininfarina Ferrari Modulo is still relevant designwise, today. It may not be pretty (by way of modern standards) , but it brings many interesting design and engineering aspects to the table, that can be and still are utilized today. I see a low slung cockpit,

Who drives a 275GTB/4Cam Short Nose to an event?

*facepalm*

So? The rest of their brands have profit margins so high that it’s laughable.

Toyota owns Lexus and Scion. Go ahead and list me all the companies VAG owns.

So if they sell “Peoples Cars” then do you want to explain why their models are overpriced when put against comparably equipped/sized models from other manufacturers? Doesn’t seem very “People-ish” to me.

There’s a Volkswagen dealership 3 blocks away from my house. I have literally never, ever, EVER seen a customer in their showroom in the entire 4 months I’ve lived in my neighborhood.

It’s not like I live in a town with no money to be able to afford a staid German sedan either. I live in an area with an average median

I’m going home now. Ciao. My work here is done.

I think in a lot of ways, that traditionalism has built Porsche into the empire it is today. Conveniently forgetting about that ‘purist’ mindset so as to accommodate change may not go over well for them. They have to very slowly implement change, and while I agree that Porsche can use a new model such as this, I do

Your car? I don’t think they’d change the oval outline of a 911 - it’s amazing how many purists cringed at Turbocharging, Sunny side Egg-headlamps, and the inclusion of water cooling.

On a Carrera GT or a 918 Spyder (as pictured), these are more or less benchmarks cars and exempt from the almost ritualistic

A wing vent and an intake are two very different things, but I understand where you’re coming from.

I don’t think people are going to go for these headlights. At all.

Anybody else see a little McLaren 570S in that front end?

This is literally sickening. I should go over to their Royal Palace, throw feces at the walls, and then declare diplomatic immunity.

I’ve always thought that these shipshifting ideals would be great to implement into production supercars. Right now we have active aerodynamics, as seen on the P1, 911 Turbo, etc, but there’s no reason why we can’t implement even more advanced technology that allows for a massive increase in downforce/drag dependent

I like a couple of details, but I see a lot of BMW in the rear. That being said, I’m happy to see that this isn’t a replacement for the venerable Z sports car line.

Lots of designers can design like this.

Someone wanna tell me again why they aren’t making this benchmark supercar?
