LOL! I don’t think the 4.8 baby LS or 4L65-E would be too happy with me, if I tried that :)

My rockers have rotted out (typical GMT-800), and the bottom of the driver’s door is crusty, but the other three (crew cab) aren’t bad.
Yeah, it’s all kinds of not good. The truck’s rocker panels have rotted away since you saw it. I’m going to have those redone by my favorite cheap body shop. I'll replace the trailer hitch before I tow again.
Sometimes those gambles come up snake-eyes.
My dad had one of those in the 80's, when it was new. It's neat, but it's no impact wrench that's for sure.
Holy crap that is cool! I'm definitely a tool nerd, but I have never heard of these. I will dream of finding one for cheap from here on out.
Lol, no :)
I’m looking forward to reading about the journey!
Yep! Been there, done that!
Crap, this is dangerous for me. It’s close enough ... anyone wanna buy a Yamaha Zuma 125?
That's a great example of how individual the issues can be.
I think this very much depends on the individual mobility challenges. When we finally convinced my grandmother to stop driving in her 80's, she sometimes had to rely on taxis to get to the doctor. She had a much harder time getting in and out of the minivans, than the Crown Vics (this was early-mid 00's). It was…
I actually like the way the current RAV-4 looks (which is a statement I cannot believe I am typing), but the K5 Blazer version here works SHOCKINGLY well. I’d rock the hell out of that.
I've been around here about as long as you have, and have come to more or less the same conclusions. It's always neat to see one of "our own" move up in the automotive world. I actually know Mercedes personally, so I am particularly happy for her to have gotten a job here. She's a good person.
Just when I was considering giving up on the FP, they go and hire you. Congrats kid! You finally found a way to make your insanity pay :)
There are definitely advantages and disadvantages to both. That big tail swings WAY out in tight turns, so that’s a factor too. I think if a standard length van is enough room for you, that’s the best of them all.
I came here to more or less say the same thing, but you said it better than I would have.
