The track is divided up into sections, and the data collected is very good. You can tell how much throttle and brake are used at event point in the track.
Wait, this is new? I’ve thought the practice of using sections on the track to push and slow and then using the data to make the perfect lap has been around for awhile now... Is IMSA just cranky because now they have their own proof of it happening?
Well that's special of him...
He's running an Illinois plate on it though...
Illinois plates with a pink sticker, which was for 2010 or 2016. Seems suspicious if it was a few months ago since you couldn’t get a 2016 until December of 2015.

Not to mention the stuff like the smaller supercharger pulley, E85 tune and full exhaust. I know my speeds when at a normal track day with decent passing and the…
That reminds me, I did have to replace my valve cover gasket, because the small gasket around that coil was torn. Maybe be something for you to look into?
It’s a GM Ecotec, which has versions in approx a billion different cars.
I change my spark plugs before every event, so that cover went away. I still have it, but don’t bother to put it on. I have a feeling I would have seen more damage if it had been there.
Cobalt SS
It's GM, but thanks for calling my car crap...
Most probably, but it still went launching out of the head at a high rate of speed.
