Little Black Coupe Turned Silver

I like to think I'm helping change things by being out there and doing track days. This past weekend I was one of maybe 5 lady drivers at Road America for an event of around 120 cars. I have often been the only woman driver at other events.

This. Growing up Burger King always had a limited "normal" menu at breakfast, and they were extremely popular with 3rd shift workers. This was before McD's had 24 hour drive-throughs, so the options were very limited to get food that early that wasn't breakfast.

Speaking as a female gearhead, you can be as funny as you want, but if you have no idea about anything to do with cars, you aren't going to keep my attention for very long.

That depends. Some of us require guys to have a vast knowledge of cars...

My car came with 11 badges (or 16 if you want to count each letter of "Cobalt" on it's own.) Completely over the top. The only one I have still on the car is the front bowtie since it bolts into the grill.

Fishing line works well too! Use it to "saw" through the tape, and then use Goo-Gone once it's off to get the rest of the residue.

My Cobalt came with 11! Two Bowties, "Cobalt" (each it's own letter - being counted as one) 3 SS's, 3 "Supercharged" and 2 GM squares. I used a lot of fishing line and goo-gone on it. Only have the front Bowtie still on since it's bolted to the grill.

This is the only reason the giant bowtie is still on the rear of my Sonic. It has a slot similar to a coin slot on a vending machine behind it.

I rode in an Elise once. I'm 6' and somehow exited the car by slithering out backwards on my stomach, feet first.

Hah, yep! Sadly mine is the LTZ since I got it before the RS was an option.

Hahaha. It's American...

I had trouble finding the exact car I wanted to test drive it... Couldn't find a single turbo, 6-speed, hatchback in the car I wanted anywhere around. Ended up driving a 5-speed (6-speed are turbo only) hatchback and a turbo automatic sedan and just had to pretend to get a feel for how my car would be like. I

Ughhhh... I just had to deal with this.

Yeah. I argued that if they knocked me down, it would also eliminate the run group we were all in, since there were only 3 of us. Then they calmed down a little...

Haha, well, I can often be found at Road America...

There are females who read Jalopnik, you know. :P

Ugh, this true. I had the SCCA dude argue with me about what class I should be in since he insisted I should be in a Ladies one, and I just wanted to be with my friends in the normal one.

Are you me? Haha.

New cars come with hill assist. You don't roll back anymore.
