Road America is hosting 3 of these this winter... I think the first one is today actually.

He was really sick in November, but I don't think it was ever said exactly what was wrong. He had surgery and a blood transfusion. It seemed like he was getting better. :(

I would have to add Road America to this list.

I autocrossed once in a... vaguely hilly... parking lot once and it was totally exciting for flat Illinois!

Autocross you can totally use your daily, it's much lower risk.

Motorcycle shop will have them, just be sure they are Snell rated. You can also just use the ones there to get a feel for sizing to then get a better one online.

New tires actually aren't all that great to race on, they are more prone to chunking. They need to see some heat cycles and use first.
