I live in a climate with extreme cold, snow and lately in summer, extreme heat. That doesn’t mean that it’s 24/7/365 shitty. More than half the year is great. And when you live in a place with lots of snow and cold weather, you tend to own clothes for that weather.

That doesn’t surprise me at all. No dealer is going to offer a deal that doesn’t make himself money in the long run.

This. And the one I read said it would pay only to replace individual, internal parts inside said assemblies but not the labor to do so. W....T....F....

The new Corolla SUV is a very slow car, but I expect it’ll rush off dealer lots.”

Any GMT-800 series truck. They look great (except for the cat-eye Silverados IMO, but some people love those too). They are the perfect combination of modern power and capability, without being way too big and stupidly tall like they all are now. Project Postal, Redwood, Swiss Cheese, Slow Devil. Even my red XJ that I hydrolocked. I off-roaded the CRAP out of the Willys (and ruined its motor in a deep mud pit)...

Oh, you want me to off-road the Lexus! That’s what this is.

Back in the 80's you would fly to Japan with two Large suitcases and buy which ever flavor of 125CC Race bike you liked. Disassemble it and put it into the suitcases and fly home. Cheaper to buy the bike in Japan including the round trip ticket.

There was a US Top Gear minivan Challenge where Tanner Foust was driving a manual Aerostar. (season 3 episode 11)

The key in that sentence is “when it comes to the very basics.” The exterior look and power systems are unchanged across the board.
