True, early systems will have teething problems. The F35 isn’t a young plane anymore though - it first took flight 16 years ago and they’ve made nearly 900 of them.

I had a hybrid CH-R during a work trip to Belgium as a rental and it was a fine vehicle.  It was great size for there.

100% garbage list. In California every town has a Safeway, mine has 4 and trader Joe’s are far less common.

I’ve absolutely loved reading your adventures and articles here! Jalopnik definitely gets a bit more boring today.

This is such a sweet van!  I'm jealous.

It’s usually way easier to get a bike loan through your local credit union or bank and just take a check to the bike dealer. That way you don’t have to deal nearly as much with their finance guys. I’ve done this a few times both with car and moto purchases and I get a signed sales contract with the out the door

It is now.  I spent the last couple months looking for a car and while I used to enjoy the car shopping process this was a trudge.  I ended up with a CPO Tiguan and like it, they’re also one of the few things that are a relative bargain in this market it seems.

Maybe the EPA actually doing this could push third parties and the FAA to come up with an economical engine swap for all the old cessna’s and such out there. Kit airplanes use a lot of Subaru, rotary and Volkswagen engines that’ll run in regular gas but the cost of a swap is very high on a certified plane.

Related - I was in SF at fisherman’s warf this summer and was biking with my wife behind one of these waymo taxis.

I moved from Missouri to California late last year because of nonsense like this.  I'm never going back and am much happier here (the weather's much nicer too).

If you’re uncomfortable with being outside, then stay inside.  Seriously though if it’s dangerously hot don’t go camping.

I’m okay with this, I actually hate generators while camping.

The trick to going to New York is to not stay in the touristy sections. I used to go there a couple times a year for work and stay in the Financial District. Sure you have to catch the subway for decent food or things to do but it’s not that far and my hotel rooms were usually around $150 a night and they weren’t

I’ve been to the 16 bit arcade in Cinci and it was definitely sweet!  Free arcades and reasonably priced drinks.

I was thinking of Lou Fusz, but I did buy a TDI at suntrup and seem to recall them having the same thing. Mine was a CPO Dieselgate car so I immediately disregarded the dealer ‘warranty’ as it came with such excellent a manufacturer warranty.

The worst I’ve seen sounded the same, but was a scam. It’s done at a chain of St Louis Dealerships. They have a lifetime powertrain warranty on used cars they sell.

I worked at Six Flags for 3 or 4 years in the mid 00's. Back then there was pretty serious rigor around ride inspection before it was allowed to run. Trained Union maintenance personnel had to walk the ride, check everything out and then get it signed off by a manager. Yes it was operated by 17 year old kids after

This is so cool! I love this concept. When you say the price of an SUV do you mean a $110k grand wagoneer or a $20k EcoSport?

If you have decent credit you can save a good deal buying used still. The last 4 used cars I’ve bought had interest rates in the 3-4% range. Also shorter loan terms, so I pay less in interest overall.

Just bought a used GX 460 this weekend after looking at 4runners and seeing far too many 2-3 year old ones that were selling above their initial MSRP.
