I knew a couple electrical engineers that founded a small company refitting old cars to electric drive train. They mostly did old mgb and fiat 124s. This was 10 years ago so I think they folded before this all caught on and had to get real jobs. Today I think they could make a killing doing it.

I saw one of these in remarkably good condition on a trailer this weekend, I was bright yellow and rust free. It was something that they were saving and I couldn’t for the life me figure out why.

Wow these comments devolved quickly...

Yep, a few years ago I worked as a Valet part time and we would call a cab for someone drunk or leaving separately from friends. They would either take a fucking hour, or never show up at all.

It would seem strange to not move immediately and play in an open stadium until their new one is built. They just gave Oakland the finger and want to stay for 3 more years? That’d be like dumping someone and still living in their house because you names were both on the lease, legally thats ok, but it’s not going to

Awesome! While legal in the US finally, I’m glad to see people stand up for what’s right in any profession and way they can.

This is Gonzo. A st Bernard mix who sadly is no longer with us, a good dog though. He loved car rides and trips to the garden store!

I agree with you that all states should have a safety inspection. The side effect is a lot less older cars on the road, but worth it.

On the wheels, stock Ford truck rims (while the correct pattern) won’t fit over the front hubs. They’ll work for a spare, because they fit on the rear axle.

Definitely the funkiest monkey. Also I agree, today feels like a beastie boys day...

I always liked the look of them. I had a first generation ZX3 which looked like this guy’s big brother.

I look forward to it. I know I was looking for reviews on Jalopnik the last time I was car shopping and very dissapointedly didn’t find a review of anything I would’ve actually bought. I bought a used 12 Focus hatch in 5 spd and cross shopped a few similar cars(such as the Fit). While reviews of exotic and high

Yes the Era of the 90s was when cars became truly reliable, but the early 90s is a nightmare for troubleshooting electronics. Anything before ODB2 is a crapshoot. You have to get the manufacturer specific reader and code book and then it’s still just a guessing game throwing parts at it.

I’m in the market for a new one and found a dealer that had a decent price but had almost $900 I’m fees on top of a $5k motorcycle, $300 is pretty typical around here, but some dealers will even waive that.

I know I quite enjoy reading you, Steph and Kat on this site. I would like to apologize for all the shitty men in the world though, sadly there are far too many of them. More have become emboldened in these last few months too, my wife has seen a lot more hate and bigotry directed at her and I know I’ve seen a whole

I was in the same place with my 62 CJ6. There is a reason why we don’t see these old things in the rust belt anymore. People with more sense than you or I sent them to the grave long ago.

They’re not as popular as inline 4 engines in motorcycles either, but they made a lot of power for their size. It was particularly important for bikes like the Honda Magna where they got to put in big inline 4 performance in a bike that looked like a V-Twin.

A reason that was given to me a while back was that it was based on the expected occupancy of the vehicle. Most cars have it on the passenger so someone other than the driver can fill the car. Most truck and commercial vans have it on the driver side.

Congrats Andrew and Jason!
