Magnetti Marelli? Ooh maybe Meepster could use that. It does tend to run out of breath after about 5k rpm

Big, Boxy, Safe, Cloth interior (on LS trim), decent dash, excellent automatic transmission, reliable, and able to completely blend into traffic.

I’ve had many manual-transmission cars in my past -

A friend of a friend in college had one. He was a theater guy named “Jeph” who moved out to California after college.

Would he still get the Employee Discount if he approached you about Porschelump?

My high school valedictorian went to Yale and is currently in medical school. I’m sitting in my bedroom eating Doritos and writing about mail I get. That’s how far.

You’re welcome. I like your style. Without sounding like a gushing fanboy - FULL DISCLOSURE: I’d never heard of you before reading your “Why I Fuck Up My Cars” piece - I find your writing to be at once both “punchy” and lyrical. It’s fun. I look forward to more.

Maggie, I have to say you’re my new favorite contributor to Jalopnik.

When I was a kid - my dad referred to all TVRs as Triumph TVRs. I guess he wasn’t that wrong.

Also, Kudos! to the hero rallying a Rav4.

2 new V8 trim levels priced alongside Corvettes and available with an automatic or automated-manual transmission.

I think it’s time to pass this one along to DeMuro for a story. Maybe he can tow it back to Philly with his Aston Martin and do... stuff.

Can’t you just get taller?

I don’t think I need to qualify this with an explanation, but a real six-speed stick behind a 300-hp turbo four in a sub-3000lb package would be so freakin’ sweet. Especially if they kept it Kia-cheap.

GG?

JK unlimited with hard top on - it’s possible.

I’ve never owned a Jeep until our BU. But I’ve driven more than one TJ. It just seemed to have a smoother ride - maybe it was the tires or something else but the JK Wranglers I’ve driven - both Unlimited and short wheelbase - seem to just want to bounce all over.

I second that. The TJ was a better driving vehicle, IMO, but even that was just slightly better than a friend’s old CJ5.

It wasn’t it wasn’t very good weed, knowing my dad. But what I do know is that it was grown in a barn somewhere in western Pennsylvania. Apparently the guy that was growing it ended up in jail for several years for his operation.
