@BMRFILE: I have to agree - the back looks like a designer fell asleep on a chalk drawing of the backs of a first-gen Taurus and a W123 benz and then drew what he saw smeared across his forehead

@psquare75: I have to agree with you there. I saw a first gen Z24 hatch at a car show not long ago and it looked good. I didn't take a picture, although I should have. It was similar to the black one, but hatch - and it had the 2.8/5 speed.

@joeisuzu: Even the regular cab Isuzu pickup was excellent. It got 30+mpg on the highway, had enough utility to haul stuff and was comfortable for 2 people. I had an '88 with the rare combination of the long bed, 2.3/5 speed, purchased for $300 from an electric company. I hauled, commuted, and towed with it before

@crazycarlarry: you must clarify as the US-market Granada, because the Euro one that we never got was AWESOME!

@LTDScott: The only picture I could find, of a chevy corsica XT:

@JackTrade: I think it was Car and Driver that had one in their long term test fleet - sometime in 2003 I read in a car magazine just one line: "Slower off the line than the Accord," that made me think "Why didn't they put the blower on it?"

@jakebonz: Those tires are at least another $500

@Smitty: That's an excellent idea - use the same body/frame with a small-displacement (2.2-3.0 liter) turbodiesel and a rear-wheel drive GM truck drivetrain - and smooth out the body a bit bit for those few trips that it will actually get up to highway speeds - and it'll be good for 400,000 miles

CP. I'd give him $3500. That seller needs to learn that if you're going to ask a ridiculous price for a piece of 80s Japanese metal that wasn't particularly rare or special, it needs to be meticulously cleaned. If he'd spend $200 on a full detail job (you know- where the guy shows up in a van and cleans your car

I like it. Except for the wheels, it's perfect.

Considering I have about 40-45 years left if I don't significantly change my lifestyle (I'm 32) I would choose something modern with all-wheel drive just in case and would have the sort of flexibility to update the drivetrain if there's some sort of petroleum apocalypse and enough room to carry me, my wife, and the

@HBmotorkulture: Yenko Turbo Z. I see what you did there. If any white trash could afford this... they'd be driving a 2002 SS

As I live in North Carolina, and have "white trash" tattooed across my belly, I would like to submit the front-wheel-drive, Intimidator Edition Chevrolet Monte Carlo: It was a $35,000 version of a $20,000 car, aimed squarely at the kind of person who spends their EITC refund each April on either a down payment on a

@MaWeiTao: My girlfriend's malibu is Dark Gray and the only advantage that I've seen is that it has gotten us out of a few traffic tickets by being both ubiquitous and inconspicuous.

in the QOTD comments, I posted a diatribe about brown cars. I still don't like them in general, but when brown is applied to a sufficiently curvy body, it can be beautiful: Example 1:

@Xelmon: Did you also notice the "JP8/DIESEL" stenciled on the tank? The diesel motorcycle can also run on FREAKING JET FUEL! That alone is enough to make it more awesome than any civilian bike

This chick needs a lesson from Anderson Cooper: "You Don't Have To Make Stuff Up!"

White - the color of choice for work trucks, church vans, and other workaday vehicles - reminds me of a refrigerator.
