@ferric oxide: Eh - OnStar doesn't do that, per se... at least not without a court order.

@joeisuzu: I'm partial to Ford's late 70s "Canyon Red"

@dal20402: Agreed. In the 90s, there were many beautiful dark greens but I think Ford's "Dark Jade Green Metallic" like you have on your rather rare SHO+ was one of my favorites. Conan agrees.

The ad is ironic because the Roadmaster is far cooler than the suburban-mcmansion-garage-dwelling Toyota Highlander. Asshole kids love irony, so does this mean we'll start seeing douchebags in trucker hats with handlebar mustaches and v-neck t-shirts driving around in Toyota Highlanders?

In high school in 1996, I had the opportunity to buy a 1959 Ford F100 with the 6-cylinder and 3-on-the-tree. It had a red MAACO paintjob, silver painted bumpers, and the "indian blanket" seat cover across the bench.

This is like Oldsmobile, unfortunately - they went for brand-identity in the 90s with the Aurora and Intrigue (Both excellent cars for their time - the Intrigue is easily the best-sorted of the FWD G-bodies) but they didn't have enough to differentiate themselves.

Having worked as a bouncer in a bar for most of my 20s and into my 30s, I have to say that the craziest, most violent drunks are women.

@Rattleface Blouses, proprietor of insanity.: He has had several Chrysler products in the past - while a Senator he was driving a Chrysler 300 Hemi - while promoting his book in the 90s and teaching, he had a Neon, and then he got an Escape Hybrid before the 2008 election.

wow. This is awesome

@Whitetrashsteve: also, the yellow Mk1 Granada coupé as used in the same movie

This being Jalopnik I nominate some Euro Weirdness: The Citröen HY van as used in French horror/psycho movie Haute Tension.

The 996 is a wonderful car to drive. Plus, since it's earned the derision of the Porsche élite (I had to put the accent on there), decent examples can be had for less than 993s. AWD 420hp Turbocharged Porsche with under 50k miles for under $50k? Sign me up!

Wow. How the hell did this become a feature? I mean - this sounds like it's a laundry list for the 17-year-old who wants to make his 1998 Civic the fastest (and furiousest) 1998 civic in the high school parking lot. Steel headlight buckets? I haven't seen one of those on a new car... ever. Maybe when I was a very

I've been going to the airport in just my underwear since 2002. Of course, II never get close to the security gate...

@SimonHova: "$8000 for a 2000 in that condition seems high."

If it was 1/3 the price and perfect I'd say NP. For 1/2 that price, I've seen a clean and original Challenger convertible with a 340/4speed with the go-pack and painted SubLime

Eh, I'd rather have a MK1 Granada coupé in v8, german spec. Like this one:

The moral of the story?

NP if it's in decent running condition... And the wing would make a nice bench for my deck.

@rhozn: So let me get this straight -
