@alexLmx6: As far as the MX-6, it's a very well-balanced fwd sporty commuter coupe, but honestly I prefer the looks of its American-named cousin:

@JackTrade: In the heady "less than 10-pages union-contract" days of the 90s, the Saturn SC2 was a fun, fun car to drive. Short gearing, light weight (~2500lbs) and enough oomph to get it up around 45 mph in respectable time. IIRC, it was quick enough to hang with all but the quickest of the Japanese FWD compacts.

"Is the new Olds Toronado Troféo too futuristic and confusing for you?

"It is discrete"

Nearly 1000 comments and less than half a dozen dark green cars? Really? Does anyone here remember the 90s?

I had to vote CP on this classic example of "doing it wrong."

I lost a job over a black-on-black Porsche 911 turbo(996). To be fair, it was a part-time job in a donut shop where I worked each morning before going to my office job in the afternoon.

"My wife and her mother got me a set of bespoke cufflinks in the shape of Wankel engine rotors. Life is officially awesome."

@GeeHalen: I'm sharing this video. Reposting everywhere I can. This is amazing and it makes me wish I understood German.

Now playing

This is one of the best PSAs I've ever seen:

@JackTrade: Your comment just made me drool again over the Tempest Sprint 6 (OHC) that I saw the other day - 66 or 67 with a manual (it was driving away and sounded wonderfully sewing-machine). The only thing visual mod were newer 15" rally II wheels — which are acceptable on nearly any Pontiac from 66-81

Only because I'm large (6'4" and about 300 lbs.), poorly proportioned, my feet are too big to fit in the driver's side footwell and I wouldn't be able to drive the damn thing properly. I know — I've tried. I had to deliver an NA Miata to a customer when I was selling cars because the sales manager who was picking me

I actually had what happened to number 8 happen to a dodge omni with a swapped-in turbo I 2.5 with too much boost. I missed third gear while (stupidly) street racing a 5.0 mustang and heard "BOOM! BANG!" and the hood bowed out just like the one in the neon video. It wasn't my car, but the owner, a friend, was riding

@cobrajoe: In that case, the Lumina is pretty inexcusable. Almost all, or maybe all repairs and maintenance for company vehicles are tax-deductible. Some repairs and maintenance for personal vehicles are tax-deductible, IIRC; at least that's what the accountant who did my parents' and my taxes said the last time I

@adema135: I've done some of the same things to a Saturn L200 sedan that I received as a rental when my sister crashed my Concorde.

@MacGyver1138: Agreed — It took one afternoon and about $40 worth of supplies to turn my Isuzu P'up from "vandalized with nasty words after punk rock show" to "black as night"

@cobrajoe: It was a Lumina? I'm sure you've heard the cliché "A GM will run badly longer than most cars will run at all."

@Whitetrashsteve: Actually, it seems that Ford is not even trying when it comes to badge-engineering.
