This reminded me of what could be a great article. If an intrepid contributor in the New York area could contact Irv Gordon (he's on Facebook -I've exchanged emails with him) and interview him about his Volvo P1800 with over 2.6 million miles.

The first manual transmission car I ever drove (through my friend's dad's yard in western PA) was a late 60s- early 70s Volvo P1800 coupe. It was beautiful, even in its unrestored condition, in a teal blue with black interior.

While the Acura and Lincoln lineup are the most egregious offenders, I'd have to say that this face is patently offensive. Why anyone let this thing loose on the roadways confounds me and its face makes me feel strange in the pants. The 08 resurfacing didn't help much, either.
