I have a cousin who wears a Confederate Flag belt buckle. We are black. I try to talk to him about it every time we visit. I have offered to buy him a nice belt buckle with any other flag. Perhaps the South Carolina state flag, since that’s where we’re from.

It’s even worse considering the “rebel flag” is actually a Tennessee battle flag for a small force during the Civil War that was only used in limited capacity. It faded into obscurity following the end of the war, and then was resurrected in the 20th Century to protest integration.
