It’s frustrating people think they have excuses for acting exactly like the bigots they oppose sometimes. There is no excuse, period, and no amount of pseudointellectual nonsense about “historically oppressed people” changes that. Prejudice is wrong, period. Hatefulness is never okay, period. And trying to be a decent

My response to an atheist nephew that said he doesn't support LGBT rights was, "You don't even have an excuse." Not that I respect any religion used as an excuse to attack others.

I’m pretty sure I did it before my PS5 came.  My apologies if I'm mistaken.

Indeed.  I remember the days of saving my $3 per week allowance up to buy a couple games a year.

This reminds me of how they snubbed Sly Cooper's voice actor when casting for the cancelled movie.

This makes me respect the games with absurdly long credits more.  These aren't the days of cartridges.  Text is infinitesimal in size.

He does it five times if the tally I read is accurate and you’re right he succeed with Imperio on the heist twice. He tries and fails to use Crutiatus twice, but does succeed in the last book. A lot of the answers I found emphasize the “he failed all but three times” thing but I think success or failure is irrelevant.

They said if people keep doing it people will start talking about it.  I think this amounts to a botched interview response when they were just trying to say thier game doesn't have a morality bar or game over.  We'll soon know.

And not only that, the stories age with their audience too.  I was already an adult, but I like that concept in contrast to fiction that is frozen in time.

Cite where the IP pushes bigotry.

And this kind of ridiculous extremism is what the far right makes fun of. Hundreds of people worked on this game and going on a ridiculous crusade to demonize people who dare not boycott is, frankly, irrational. J.K. Rowling has some extremely unfortunate opinions, but there are many positive messages in her stories

Read everything they said.  We'll see how it works out in the game itself.  "The world will reflect back knowledge of them" is vague.  Evil people in the Harry Potter world seldom get away with it forever.

This is a pretty confusing article.  Computer advancement has stagnated for over a decade now.  Try requirements going from 4 megabytes to 64mb plus in a shorter time frame in the '90s.  Should PC requirements never increase?

I appreciate overviews like this.  Thank you.  It's a huge help for people that don't follow or remember all of the news.

I’m glad you mentioned that and I’m disappointed in the site for not listing it. JK Rowling has a disgusting view on trans rights, but that doesn’t undo the good message of Harry Potter and more importantly doesn’t invalidate the work of hundreds of people. To mention her hurtful comments is one thing, but to not even

His wealth is irrelevant to whether or not he deserved the ban.

I’m not familiar with him but nine times out of ten someone claims they were banned for something the truth is they were banned for thier conduct and not thier cause.  Right wingers play that card incessantly, like when they follow someone around intentionally misgendering them then act as if they get banned for

No joke I’ve had people follow me around and harass me in these comments for politely suggesting hatefulness and bullying isn’t okay regardless of target. It’s telling when people derisively utter “centrist” as if it’s a dirty word. And I’m most definitely not centrist much less right wing; I just don’t believe in

I can’t say I agree it’s not worth trying to finish but I suppose at this point a good result will be surprising. There seems to now exist the extreme opposite of the wisdom that delayed games can only improve.  When pushed too long bad things can result too, but hopefully the end result will pleasantly surprise.

I read it as the comment was before the incident was identified.
