I used to never block people. I’d report overt bigotry and move on and post opposition to the annoying posts that avoid crossing lines for moderation. But lately, especially on Steam, it’s been so bad legitimate discussion is drowned out.

I’ve encountered people who peddle hatred as if it’s a virtue, and for those specific types of interaction such as social media bully mobs who don’t tolerate any dissent in their perpetual witch hunts I think there is very legitimate criticism... but 9/10 times someone cries “woke” it’s to whine about minorities even…
If game pass is still a week behind, your effigies currently don't do anything and only affect the displayed number.
I love how the State of Play presentation shows a tone the original actually had. It wasn't angsty or brooding, a characterization that was never accurate but somehow became Cloud's reputation. Yes it has serious moments, but I really like how much they are looking to capture the actual charm of the original. This…
They are neat little checklists for me, and for games I love it’s more to shoot for sometimes. I liked them long before they became a standard feature. The Ratchet and Clank games had them in the form of skill points.
I hope this sticks and spreads. It's good to see workers stand up for themselves.
It’s saddening seeing trolling destroy comment sections. That’s not just IGN. And it’s impossible to tell the difference. I had a policy to never block anyone. If something was terrible I’d just mark for moderation and move on. But the trolling has gotten so bad I’ve finally started mass blocking on Steam. It’s a real…
It’s disturbing and a pretty deliberate social engineering project by would-be authoritarian rulers. And they have enthralled half the USA. It took less than a decade for the far right to bring us to the brink of having a sham president who decided to ignore the results of an election. The last of our checks and…
You can easily avoid killing pigs in Minecraft, though your example still works. A better example is the ridiculous "mass slaughter animals to upgrade inventory space" system in Horizon Zero Dawn. I'm a vegetarian but it's the only practical way and I know fiction from reality.
The fact it was mentioned at all is absurd. It doesn't matter if there was other "evidence." It's like the nut jobs that equated Doom fans with would-be mass shooters.
It’s just insane to me anyone would pay thousands for a device by makers that think they are your mommies and daddies.
There is a huge range of what “cartoon animal” can mean. Sonic has always been of the sci-fi variety, so it’s not exactly like Sylvester and Tweety. Let’s not forgot the series started with Sonic rescuing intelligent animals from cybernetic enslavement.
That was a good list of examples, but I'm not one to call the war on the single-payment license a good thing. To say I am wary of things like Xbox Game Pass is a huge understatement.
It is hard to overstate how excited I am for this. I love the Mana series and hope this does well.
Probably a mistake, or an assumption it is coming to the system Nintendo is likely launching this year.
If there was any merit to calling it “plagiarizing,” Nintendo and its typically overly zealous legal team would have been all over the game a very long time ago.
And what of the rare few who do feel that way? It’s important they know they aren’t alone. It’s okay to say LGBT people are rare. It’s not okay to say that’s an excuse to pretend we don’t even exist. And it’s doubly no excuse to say acknowledging our existence is “political insertion” or even more blatantly bigoted…
It’s a space RPG without intelligent aliens. I wouldn’t call that playing it safe. Unfortunately, other than the last spoilers, that’s just as bland to me as I feared. I don’t dislike the game, but it’s the unbuttered toast of space RPGs until the last parts of the game. If thier years of support is just more “humans..…
It’s Raven that made Heretic/Hexen, but id retained the rights. Activision Blizzard owning Raven while Microsoft owned id kept the IP in an awkward situation. Now that Microsoft owns both, that awkward situation doesn't exist anymore.
A large portion of that list is probably people who grew up in the '90s.
