Tendencies don't really work online since they're shared across most users. Playing offline, deaths make your world more black and boss kills make worlds more white. I think that's about it. Black worlds are harder in general.

If should have the time or interest, I highly recommend the video series on MGS3 by James Howell. Someone here mentioned this guy's videos before and they're fantastic. He takes time to explain all the games mechanics, ALL of them, and then engages in real literary criticism of MGS2 and 3 all the while playing the…
Is that what that throne room is about? That makes it 1000x sadder. Also, did you notice the blood splatter on the bridge from where Baal blew up the messenger in the D2 cutscene? I think it was Baal anyway.
Hah, it's mostly a side project I guess? He absolutely does not make enough doing it to be sustainable. The only really cool things that have come out of it is he got flown to Japan to meet the guy that composed the music for Ninja Gaiden where they asked him to cover some of this guy's modern track using the old…
The plot was predictably insane, and the gameplay was fine, I guess. I think the thing that annoyed me was it was (understandably) smaller. I love MGS for all the strange things you can do, but I felt Peacewalker just didn't have the space for a lot of the things I love about the other games. Your mileage will vary…
I think you could just read the plot to peacewalker and be OK. The mechanics of the game are fine, but the plot gets rather icky, especially the stuff with Paz if we go forward to Ground Zeroes.
I don't think there's much more to say about the music that hasn't already been said.
It's hard to think of a game and song that fit together better than Katamari Damacy and Katamari on the Rocks.
I dunno if anything had changed, but a friend of mine played basically the entire game by using the Hunter's axe transformed charge up attack (the spin to win). It just has incredible reach and damage.
Good timing on D3. They just put out a huge end-game patch that changes a whole bunch of things for the better.
Peace Walker is probably skippable if there is a time crunch. 2 and 3 absolutely are not, however. Also, there is a strong thematic reason for Raiden. Can't say too much, but I would advise keeping the Snake/Raiden bait and switch in mind if you ever stop to think about what's going on in the absolutely bonkers plot.
Consider this a second upvote for the tag-line there.
I guess I have to ask, is Valkyrie Profile 2's Nibelung valesti as satisfying as 1's?
As I may have mentioned before, my brother is a chiptune composer and member of Brave Wave and works primarily on the actual chips used in a given console. He was telling me that some games actually had chips custom made for the machine in order to get the sound the composer wanted, which I think leads to a couple of…
I suppose I mean it in the sense that the rewards don't scale so, while you might still be able to do those missions, there is very little incentive other than letting you grind that much faster.
Raids (6 player), strikes (3 player, kind of like what might just be called instances in other games) and ad-hoc play for missions are all PvE. There is no open-world PvP - it is its own special matchmaking thing and kind of has its own meta-game as far as items, builds, and character picks.
A few points:
I almost forgot! My brother has a game out on steam today. Curse of Crescent Isle DX. He did all the music and sound. Check it out! It's on the steam front page.
I will probably be playing a lot of the Call of Duty: Back Ops 3 multiplayer beta this weekend. So far, this game is much more my style than advanced warfare was. It's got that goofy Treyarch sensibility and is a far simpler game than advanced warfare was. In general, the game plays more methodical and rewards good…
I, too, have Diablo 3 and would play if anyone were interested. I am BetrayedSnail and if you should want to play, I would be down.
