I actually don’t mind the idea of updating films - even Star Wars. I just don’t think the CG was as there as he thought it would so we get these really just.. not very well done new fx.

Comparing 8K to 4K directly, I absolutely could tell the difference.

Not only that, but it was a bigger wow factor to me than moving from FHD to 4K to be honest.

Maybe if it was part of the original strategy and they have the animation already. But no way would they spend the money for 40 additional minutes of new animation. The amount of crew and time involved to do that would be in the tens of millions likely. I just can't see doing that for a physical release these days.

Yep and, as such, are you usually presented in storyboard/animatic form. Which isn’t terrible, but just doesn’t quite allow for the nuance of comedy to shine through.

As much as I love A24, I can’t recommend this. I did it for the Green Knight and the quality is some uber compressed 1080p crap with crap audio. The A24 app is just not good enough.
