I’d like to see the same test repeated in 10 years, with 250,000 km on each car. Or would the Tesla even still hold a charge?

But those tail lights will haunt my dreams...

I would say the real problem with “no longer a going concern” is that Tesla was never, and still isn’t a concern at all. Maybe one day it will become a concern, but so far the people in the auto and oil industries have been right all decade.
Well, I don’t think they’d force you to buy them, it would just allow it as an option.
Yeah, first time new car buyer was me when I took out my 7 year loan as a first time car buyer. I bought it at 27 and will have it paid by 34.
I’m on an 84 month at 0% and still think it was well worth it. But I knew going into it that I wanted to buy a new car and then never sell it and just drive it into the ground. If you could say the same, it used to make sense to roll out the payments over a long period since essentially inflation means that my $150…
I try to keep things pretty simple and will generally call myself “vegetarian” rather than vegan, because cheese.
It’s because all the stock market wants is growth. It’s not enough to be running a good business, it has to be an EXPANDING business, or at least a business with room to expand.
Sounds like you’ve got a pretty good understanding of what’s going on over there... I nominate YOU to take over for Musk :)
1. A yellow blinking light would mean nothing. The intersection already turns the light red before any overheight truck reaches it and turns on a big sign that says “OVERHEIGHT MUST TURN”.
Wow a manual, diesel, VW wagon is the car I always wanted and this one is a fine example.
How the heck are they getting over the Darien Gap???
I think that is the most Canadian way to call someone out on not knowing what they are talking about - just a “your assessment is inaccurate” and a link to the proof. Love it. :)
Sorry, what other jurisdictions are encouraging people to increase their carbon emissions? I guess Trump’s change to mileage standards is now doing sort of the same thing in the USA. Anywhere else?
I didn’t forget to mention anything. I don’t think the Liberal’s promotion of solar energy (which is what the 80 cents/kwh figure you quote comes from I think?) exactly deviates from my point that Doug Ford is determined to destroy the planet through buffoonery and apathy.
Haha - but I like when Doug Ford said the oil companies “better not” raise prices to match the tax cut and that he’d be “watching them”. What a dope.
3rd Gear: You failed to mention a lot around this story, which just gets much more interesting.
I saw the tanks in the back as I was scrolling down. Took a little more time to read what they were for... When I realized they were so the truck could blow “smoke” out of it’s nostrils that was enough for me to facepalm and get back to voting crack pipe.
I like your comment so much because it applies to nearly everything in life, not just drag racers of all things: Some people just want to go fast without having to do all the work. It’s what money is for.
