He didn’t say it was a joke.

It is funny, mostly because he was obviously baiting their rage and succeeded resoundingly.

If Norm MacDonald gets you slightly closer to a heart attack I’ll watch every fucking thing he says.

“Down syndrome” and said it’s his “new word,” as if he—a professional comedian and adult—just decided that it’s a totally normal and funny thing to say.

I wish I was such a good person that this made me not find Norm Macdonald a hilarious comedian. Oh well.

He didn’t do “lol u mad.” He did something people are writing articles about. That’s why its interesting.

Yea I think that’s actually pretty funny. He’s not making fun of people with down syndrome. He’s making fun of the apology ritual. 

The Down Syndrome remark is a running joke from his previous and highly regarded podcast. It doesn’t seem like this fact is being acknowledged by any of the news outlets reporting this.

Norm MacDonald’s true talent is self-sabotage.
