Nice. That’s an RS, too. With that hood, I wonder what the owner dropped in there? That car came with the 305ci that produced a grand total of 170 horses.  Lord only knows how few of those actually made it to the rear wheel.  When I was 20 years old I thought I was kind of a badass driving around in my ‘91 RS.  Little

Yours is faster down the strip.  Mine get them to strip down faster.

Let’s go! Pedal through the metal!

Color is BIG FACTOR on the 996. I found mine in a real color and I’ll never get rid of it. It’s an absolutely amazing car. Find one with a great exterior color, and black interior. A black interior is ESSENTIAL, otherwise, it’s rather hideous.

I still prefer the 997....

Talk about an orphan... No one wants to claim to be the father of this mess. And a questionable title to boot. The ACURAte choice is CP,

Like, as a conversation piece? I know a retired school teacher not far from here with a MiG-17 sitting in her driveway. She bought it 20 years ago and used to sit in it and grade papers. She’s an interesting person for sure.

E46 is the perfect answer here.   I’ve been asking the same question with similar requirements - and E46 330ci is where I always end up.   Miata is too small for me at 6'4", I look out over the top of the windshield every time I drive one!

E30 convertible:

This White steam car.... made in Cleveland.... which would make it a Cleveland Steamer!

I’ve always wondered about R-Type: why couldn’t they make the entire ship of the same indestructible material as the spinning orb?

*Sticker was $35-$47k depending on the year. You’re thinking of the ultra rare hardtop convertible that was $70k.

I probably should have bolded after pasting. I was referring to the suggestion that the car is impractical, not that it is old.

You don't need to do that, just refresh the page and vote CP til your heart's content.

I bought an off warranty Cayman S with 56,000 miles.  50,000 miles later (5 years later) I’m doing great.  Nothing unusual here.

The next word after “10k” was “more”, as in “that had done 10k more” than the 50k of the 300. I’m certain that you misread.

I can’t help but think of the movie Le Mans when I hear that engine at full howl.

I have two that I plan to keep barring any unforeseen circumstances, an ‘11 Porsche Cayman Base and an ‘04 Land Rover Discovery. I have a third vehicle that is my primary DD, but last years mileage (~12K, short commute) was spread fairly equally between all. I’m very fortunate but it’s all in the circumstances; I’m nea

Holy shit. Hook up to a decent sound system and turn this up. Like up up. Your little bluetooth doesn’t cut it. Once he puts it on the track, wow. I’m playing this instead of music as I clean my house. The neighbors are confused...

This is what I’m going to miss with the inevitable wholesale adoption of electric vehicles. Tesla can make a car that easily beats almost any other vehicle 0-60, but it will never give you the visceral feeling that something that sounds like this does.
