What music do you listen to that requires a subwoofer?  Bc the vast majority of it rarely hits below 50hz.  Which most regular woofers have no issue reproducing.

Not really. Most music doesn’t even have bass that goes low enough to require a subwoofer. Look it up, you’d be surprised. Movies for a home theater system on the other hand are a different story.

That’s exactly the point. And don’t discount that the guy driving admits to not being very good with a manual tranny.  There’s really no telling how much wear was caused.

Because you don’t know how much the guy was riding the clutch while driving.  If he is an amateur at driving stick (which he admitted he was) he easily could have been riding it the whole time.  I dunno about you, but I wouldn’t want someone doing that to my car.

Yup. I always ask the valets if they can drive stick. Amazes me how many can’t, but as the saying goes a manual is a millennial anti-theft device.

You don’t get it though.  They can’t prove the owner didn’t do it himself because their employees fucked up and potentially caused undue wear on the clutch.  So if they pop that sucker out and it’s shows more wear than normal for a 8k mile clutch, it’s on them.  Not the owner.

Very true.  Best to act quickly and decisively.

Especially since he even mentioned his “salary” in relation to his wages.  Salaried folks don’t punch a clock...lol

He’s allowed to bust it’s chops, he owns the car.  The techs on the otherhand, are not allowed to do that.

You’re wrong about the clutch.  You can do serious damage to a clutch by riding it, which is sounds like there is a good chance this guy was.

I agree about the brakes and tires.  But you can really fuck up a clutch if you are riding it.  And it sounds like he was.  I can hoon the piss out of my 911 and not smell burning clutch.  That’s a bad sign.

Sorry to be the one.  But it’s Alfa.

Couldn’t agree more.  I never saw the point of separating it out like they do.

Believe it’s War of the Worlds

Yikes.  It’s a balmy 54 here in Orlando (well Celebration to be fair, a few miles southwest of Orlando).

I don’t own a Boxster but I do have a 997 911. And have owned several BMW’s and Audi’s over the years. I find maintenance needs to be similar, though in general you have to pay the Porsche tax, which means typically labor and parts are more expensive. But you budget for that sort of stuff.  I love Boxsters, but I

Ha... I haven’t done that yet.  Yet.  :)

Oh it’s definitely well built.  I’m not surprised yours has no rattles.  My 997 is 12 years old and still feels rock solid.  Granted it’s only got 69k miles on it haha.

Having been on the Mass turnpike during rush hour I dont see how that was possible.

Becoming?  The euphemism masshole predates Florida man.
