I *wish* I had that ability, but I chose a girl over a car collection.

real motorcycle with real gearbox. The 250 reflex is a scooter with rubber bands for a gear box—twist-n-go. The Grom is a real bike with a real gear box, but off the showroom floor, according to Honda, it won't do much over 60.

Only Ohio sucks more than that

actually ALL of the fly-overs and many of the non-fly overs all take more from the feds than they put in. Only CA, OR, WA, TX, FL, NY, CT, RI, VT, MA, and ME contribute more to the federal government via taxes than they receive back from the federal government.

The heart says NP because with a little time and a little money I could have a pretty nice jeep. The head says CP because "a little time" will turn into a metric shitload of time and "a little money" will turn into a 401k and savings sucking abyss and I'll still have a jeep that only moves by trailer.

Oh how I wish they were flushable.

I'm a big fan of wet wipes for mud butt. With babies around, there's no shortage of wet wipes at my house.

I scrolled down here to say "good for her" but you beat me to it.

Had the engine been in front my mind screamed "restomod" alas it's in the back…not what I would want to lose my restomodding virginity on. Still NP.

I thought "old Z too", then I thought it would be "cool to have this because it isn't a Z, but looks sorta like one" I'm not awake enough to make it to the third thought about how tiring it would be to have to explain the car all the time. Good call because that is exactly what would happen.

I just drove a new rental Forester (had 800 miles on it) from CA to NE (when the engine gave up the ghost) and that power stealing not quite a CVT but yet still a CVT slushbox of a transmission pushed an otherwise OK car into I'd rather walk territory. Awful, terrible, horrible car...with a manual? I'd give it another

this car is like an hour away from me. Gotta go call my wife and the bank.

Call me a pessimist, but when many people hear things like "if a man does not work, he shall not eat" as being words of wisdom from an all-knowing all-powerful creator of the universe…

Given that one of the major political parties in the US would rather people starve on the streets as opposed to providing them with basic care and support, I don't see people being allowed to live a life of leisure if they don't have a job.

CycleWorld said their test Grom topped out at 61mph and 55mph eats up 7,000 revs in its tallest gear. You're right this should have been in the article. It would have made the story that much more impressive.

I used to ride a Honda reflex scooter. It had a 250cc engine and with all 6'6" and 230 pounds of me on it would do 65mph on level ground. With a motorcycle gearing I'm betting the Grom might have as much as 60mph in it (on a good day) given a normal sized rider without that kind of load.

So jealous. So very very jealous.

a classic case of taking a great car and fucking it all up in the ass. CP. I have nothing but contempt for the asshat who chopped the top off this thing no matter how "well" done it might be.

To do that though don't things in addition to vehicle design come into play?

Turbos and hybrids won't gain you too much. Short of adding rockets, 0-60 in 2.8 seconds is the best you can do on Earth.
