it does beat all those cars in a drag race. all cars had to put their tops up first, then drive. Miata's goes up much faster hence it got a big head start.

close. miata's top goes up faster than the others, which gives it enough of a head start to win a 1/4 mile drag race
quarter mile race with a Miata. Had to put top up first, then run the quarter. As expected, Miata is the answer.
agreed. too many numbers already gone missing.
going to the actual ad:
as far as I know, that's a CA only thing, but since it's from a San Francisco craigslist ad, it is relevant to the market where the car is being sold. However the ad does state it hasn't been registered since 2005 not 1995.
I can see this getting restomodded. Not worth it (to me) to do a numbers matching restoration. The '82 rear end, the engine bay highlights, and the fact that the current seller intends to add more non-stock stuff this weekend just all scream no, no, no, no, no. Not sure what the market for old vette is in the bay…
improvement. I loved my first generation 3. I'm not a big fan of the current generation. This hatch could pass for a wagon if you squint at it just right. I'd rather have the 6 wagon, but I'd be proud to drive this as well.
yes it is. Never saw many of them even back in the 80's when they were being made. I want to say they were replaced by the FWD Tercel, and if I am recalling correctly some of the later ones even were dual badged as Starlet/tercel
All that sleeper power seems tempting. However if you are selling something as tweaked as these, there is no such thing as "Too much to list." The ad eschews even the most basic of pertinent details and instead vomits the performance aisle of Pep Boys all over the place.
Never driven any of those cars, though I've heard nothing but bad about them. (Side note: it is fun to complain about having to drive a 'vette only to reveal it's a chevette.) You hit the uncomfortable nail right on the head. Seats and head rests made driving the PT and Caliber intolerable.
have you driven one? I liked the PT Cruiser until I drove one. Only the Dodge Caliber (another car I liked until I drove it) has been more uncomfortable.
Forget Big Sur. Drive Hwy 1 north of Jenner on a non-foggy day. I hear it comes around about as often as Christmas if you're lucky. Fewer RVs, but like like herpes, they never go away.
If you are selling as pretty a car as this, and asking north of 5k, SPRING FOR DECENT PICTURES!!!! TV appearances from shows that most of us haven't heard of and the provenance thereof notwithstanding, NP from me. I wouldn't buy it, but the person who does should hold their head high.
CP no doubt about it.
A "stock profit" occurs when a company takes one time charge offs and expenses against liabilities reducing said liabilities for that one quarter. In turn, it makes the company profitable for that quarter. The real test comes next quarter. Will Tesla turn a profit then? Without looking at their financials, I don't…
I was going to post the shooting brake version, but this will most certainly do.
Sorry, unless its a real collectible, $6500 is too much for anything that requires hauling away. CP.
except when a feral pig runs out in front of you, but then it's the speeder that buys the farm, so it's OK.
don't stop with brass & wood—go for the full-on steam punk version.
