that's why I use my left knee for steering, my right hand for shifting, my left hand for texting, and my right foot for feeding myself chips or something. I love cruise control.

that's what the knee is for.

Looks like a Georgia plate to me.

Would a blue oval be worth that? Methinks not. I'm not willing to pay more for it to say Mercury. Therefore CP from me (though I'm willing to bet if you are excited by rare instances badge engineering, this would be a NP).

I'm not sure you can go low enough on this to get a NP vote from me. Not enough eye bleach in the world...

Gimme a 6 diesel wagon. Please for the love of all that is holy and pure bring us that wagon...

maybe I'm reckless too, but isn't it just a wee bit sad the camry can get in front of the cooper to begin with? I'da thunk the mini would up and go and leave the beigemobile behind.

Even from Memphis, you're traveling way over 1000 miles to get this beaut.

I did my part. Factoring in the price reduction due to haggling, this is NP all day.

I have no idea what this car should be worth. I have always loved the Mk I Scirooco, and while I've always lusted after the '81 version, I'd take this too. Logic? I don't need no steekin' logic. NNNNNNNNNNP baby. Lady lust has won the day.

I have to gloat here because that is exactly what I did. I learned in college that it is great to live near campus. I didn't have to worry about parking or anything like that. I carried that over to my professional life. I live 1 mile from work. When it is warm, I ride a bike. When it is cold (and snowy) I walk. When

Not on 81 it doesn't.

Amen brother. Short people got got...no reason to live.

Highway 64 in New Mexico is nice if you are going across the southern tier of the US. However like others have pointed out, the prettiest roads aside from the PCH are further north than a SF to Miami route. Replan the drive to go San Diego to Augusta, Maine.

I've owned a 77 rabbit, 81 rabbit, 84 jetta, and 85 quantuum. All unreliable. All came into my possession with under 100k on the ticker. It was never the engine, it was always little things. Battery issues. Wheel bearings. Alternators. Power steering. Fuel injectors. Glow plug relays. Switches failed. Even the manual

I'll get used to the new layout. I would like links to the other gawker sites at the bottom or something that will allow me to hop around.

I had a Datsun B210 with that shift pattern once. Loved it until I let a friend drive it and he did a 4-1 downshift at the start of a wild curve (car had 200k on the odo so the gates were a bit loose) and we skidded all over the road.
