It was actually free to stream for Amazon Prime members until last week. That’s how I discovered it. It’ll probably come back... Prime seems to recycle videos a lot.

Okay seriously, that paint job is hideous. The blackened tail-end looks like they’re trying to emulate the look of a car that burns oil. I used to have a Civic that was always covered in soot from the tailpipe, over the entire back end. Is that really a look you want to go after?

This. From experience, I can say that it would be quieter inside to make it a sawzall convertible than to take the headliner completely out. An unlined metal roof resonates like you’re riding inside a steel drum. The best move is to use some of those cheap plastic corkscrew thumbtacks. Quick & easy, functional, and

4th Gear:

Not sure how it’s related to the article, but I love how the emergency blinkers just keep going, even thought the car is being slowly engulfed.

haha no, thankfully. I’ve been bitten probably a couple dozen times, but it’s basically because (up until 6 months ago) I lived in the desert. Wyoming thankfully doesn’t have scorpions, but it’s got all the other poisonous arachnids in copious quantity.

As with many things, the media has made them out to be much, much worse than they really are. Can a bite kill you? Sure. Can a bad splinter kill you? Yup, and about as likely. They swell up and hurt with a dull ache for a couple days, but honestly, a bee sting hurts worse, swells more, and lasts about as long. And

Black Widows do. I’ve seen them hide in towels — both folded in a closet, and hanging on a rack — multiple times. Now, before I ever use a towel, I always shake it off vigorously. I’ve seen one fly across the room because of it, once. Having been bit by a black widow, I can testify that they’re not that big of a deal,

I’m interested in the fact that he rode a Polaris; that’s America’s snowmobile brand. I guess I had just assumed that they were more regional than that, and you’d be riding something local, or something Japanese elsewhere in the world. Now I have to go find out what sorts of Snowmobiles are sold ‘round the world...

Wow... I had no idea of the transmission issues in the pre-96 Aerostars, but I’m glad that was the cutoff year. I literally just bought a ‘96 Aerostar yesterday. I wasn’t planning to buy yet, but this one came up in great shape and the price was right ($800! 148k miles, 4x4, and everything works), so I jumped on it.

Wow, for a flatbed, that would be incredibly sweet.

I’ve been in a similar situation. One of the calipers on my Miata developed a serious leak while I was visiting Canada (the land of unavailable car parts), so I actually drove 1,000 miles home downshifting and using the parking brake at stop lights. I’ve had brake failures at other times as well (in two other

wow, lowriders are bad enough on rough surfaces, as are often found in RV parks; I can’t even imagine how hard it would be to haul a lowrider trailer.

When I was a teenager, my Mom drove an ‘81 Diesel Rabbit 4-door. I drove a ‘71 Jeep Wagoneer, which decided to leave me stranded while I was off-roading. My mom came and towed me home, down nasty dirt roads and everything, about 20 miles. We had to take several runs at a particular hill (more like a halfpipe — rolling

Being a Ford guy, why didn’t you get an Aerostar? It’s based on the Ranger/Explorer instead of the S10/Blazer, and it’s got comperable tow numbers, just without the hazards of a Chevy transmission.

That trailer looks like more than 3500lbs though I could be wrong.

My ‘Scort tows like nobody’s business. And gets nearly 30Mpg doing it. Most recently, I towed a 950 lb. century-old pool table behind it. Got 27mpg with 4 adults and suitcases inside. Oh, and did I mention it’s a brown(-ish) manual wagon?

ohh man that would be funny.

This rear rollbar is awesome. I have no idea why more ‘verts don’t employ one.
