You’re better off without training wheels. A lot of kids (my 3 year old included) never use training wheels. The most important thing is to learn how to balance. steer right when it tips to the right, steer left when it tips to the left. have the bike shop take off the crank or at least the pedals and just go fred

Well, we optimize our public school curriculums for students to perform well on very specific tests. look how swimmingly well that always turns out, why not do the same with our cars?

yeah. 30 minute 5k is actually moving pretty fast in my book. I’m fit, very fit. I used to race triathalon and running was by far my weakest discipline. I was upper to middle of the pack out of the water and in the top 15% on the bike. Then, just about dead last on the run. I dedicated an entire season to improving my

typically, the palm of your hand is about 1% of your total skin surface area.

Both are correct. If you burn in 20 minutes with nothing on, it would take 300 minutes with properly applied SPF 15. SPF 15 means 1/15th of the radation reaches your skin. It’s just algebra.

like any other sunscreen product, you need to use a sufficient amount and re-apply after a while. How much you need depends on your skin tone, your location, your activity and your duration of exposure.

You should really read the section on the spray options in the article you linked to. It merely says the same thing this does, it’s not as effective if you don’t put enough on. Not exactly rocket science. The only person claiming anything about the FDA giving sprays additional scrutiny is the EWG, which is big on hype

used this stuff on my kitchen and it works great. as with anything, there is a learning curve to it. the greatest advantage of it is you can do it in stages. only have time to put the mat up on the wall? leave it covered until the next day. 3 year old woke up early from nap right in the middle of setting tile? no

there’s a catch though. your lawyer can use it as leverage in a civil claim. probably will help with an out of court settlement. but if it is entered as evidence for a criminal case or if the civil case goes to trial, the whole camera and all of the footage on it will likely need to be open to the discovery process.

I’d add, call a personal injury lawyer that specializes in car accidents. both your insurance company and the other driver’s insurance company has exactly one objective... to close your claim while paying out the absolute least amount of money possible. most PI lawyers work on a contingency fee and the honest ones

he did say “over 40% increase”. he’s still correct and you’re still a nit picking ass.

it was a massive waste of time for me. 2 back to back days of interviews, 6-7 hours each day.

couldn’t disagree more. with some HR departments not even willing to talk to you if you don’t disclose your salary history, not negotiating your first post college job could set you back 5 years or more on your earning potential.

tax returns are of little value to determing salary history, especially if the employer offers a lot of pre-tax deductions for things like health, 401k, fsa, etc.

pretty shocked amazon is not on this list.

Baring you making a ridiculous ask, a firm is almost never going to come back and say the offer in now rescinded.

it likely hurt you a bit from the sounds of it. they offered 48, you countered with 55. Then you countered again with 50 which was your mistake. Never counter your own offer.

yet another contrived “myth busting” article that debunks myths that never existed before the article.
