no one mentions how important good dental care can be toward conventional beauty.  braces alone changed my whole face.

The main trouble is, privilege is the best word. The word “privilege” literally derives from the conjunction of two Latin words: privis, which translates into the English as, and is in fact the root of, “private”, and legis, which translates into the English as, and is in fact the root of, “law” (think “legislation”).

Normally I’d agree but I think the ending is perfect. One of the few romantic speeches I actually find romantic. And having them be the final couple in those vignettes made perfect sense.

I went to IAA 1990-1992, and yes— they were generally very strict... yet I know first-hand of two situations where students had sexual relationships with faculty/staff. In one case, the staff member was fired; the other was a visiting teacher and fulfilled their contract without any interference from the

Right I think you guys are taking this too literal. It’s more of a “blow the lid off this bitch” type comment - you know?

this guy is likely some agent for the people who actually call the shots, i imagine a conversation like this happened

As an Elder Millennial/Baby Gen Xer (the internets say this makes me a “Xennial”), the rediscovery of the great Keanu Reeves fills me with a deep sense of peace and validation. My 13 year old self was right!!! Keanu IS the greatest of the 90s hunks!

I graduated with the same in 2008. I also have a full-time journalism job; I am one of the lucky ones. That graph is still a visual kick in the nuts, though, and demonstrates why looking at what other opportunities are out there is so depressing.

Yeah - and caring and truly understanding are two different things. Racism is really an ingrained response in our society- it takes a lot of effort to process internalized racism and work against it

Frankly, I found the argument that if a white person merely consumes all available information about being black they’d have no problem at all understanding the black plight and how it feels to live life as a black person to be fucking stupid.

I don’t think it was Aziz specifically, but somewhere along the lines of the past week I definitely took stock on my dating life and realized that even though the women I had been dating thought I was a good guy and not “one of them”, I was certainly taking advantage of them. Not in an illegal or even problematic way,

In this special, Aziz makes a pretty good point (and one I’ve been saying on Kinja for years) that, people are terrible.

I’m fine with a scumbag relizing he/she is a scumbag, because once they realize their actions make them so, perhaps they can modify their behavior in a way that’s not all about them. I mean, introspection is all about focusing in a meaningful way upon oneself.

I was dying laughing watching it. he is perfection.

I just watched Always Be My Maybe and my husband and I literally squealed like two teenage girls when Keanu walked out.

Obviously this article was written to instigate a fight but I’m going to fall for it anyway and stand firm in my belief that LaCroix is actually good. Some of us want something that is very lightly flavored because it’s more refreshing and I don’t like the sweeter stuff. Also, I think the decline is probably heavily du

Naw, the finale was fine. The finale would have been great if it had come at the end of two ten episode seasons that had essentially the same plot points, less big action scene work, and more of the small moments that stitch together the big plot points that were the core of GRRM’s books and the first 6 or so years of

HBO was willing to pony up all the money the show needed to made right. The network wanted to finance full length seasons. It was Weiss and Benioff who’d come down with a massive case of senioritis and decided to phone it in so that they could move on to other projects like Confederacy and Star Wars. I thought this

.....’witnessed untold amounts of sexually abusive behavior by men in the recovery community in general, I am not at all surprised to hear about this. I quit all of it because I couldn’t stand watching the dysfunction, and no one would do anything about it when I spoke up.’ Me too

As someone who has sat with Noah, was a part of the Dharma Punx community for years, and has also witnessed untold amounts of sexually abusive behavior by men in the recovery community in general, I am not at all surprised to hear about this. I quit all of it because I couldn’t stand watching the dysfunction, and no
