This is my continual complaint when I do not find a joke funny. People either say that I’m “too PC” or that I “didn’t get the joke.” No, I got it. It’s not funny: it’s a bad joke.

I second the beauty school thing. I get my hair highlighted (with my blond now muddied to ash) for $40 there. It takes forever, but it looks good.

The first thing I ask when person comes to me looking for weight loss advice — aside from the fact that I don’t give weight loss advice (but will recommend professionals like dieticians, etc) — is whether or nt they are on medications of any kind whose side effects may include weight gain.

This is my immediate thought, as well as sometimes people emotionally eat/etc and or have other illnesses, and we don’t know anything and fat shaming is terrible.

This was exactly my thought. This is not a comment on what anyone else’s birth or c-section was like. Nothing to see here. And I’m a mom — so I’m used to mom-related outrage.

I can’t pick a favourite episode (perhaps the high school reunion one?), but my favourite line is “never follow a hippy to a second location.” My husband and I use this All The Time because I run a yoga studio, and most of the people we interact with (in terms of teachers, practitioners, etc) are hippies.
