I recommend working on your exit strategy. I think you’ve been more than aware, generous, and patient. Keep things quiet until you’re ready to make the leap.

I was in the opposite situation, where I didn’t see the need but my husband wanted it. He wanted it for a lot of reasons — most of the emotional — and you know what? Emotional reasons are just as good as logical reasons.

I’m reading Dragon Knights with my kid, Boudica by Manda Scott for fun, Brains on Fire for work/development, plus also Infidel by Ayaan Hirsi Ali.

Now playing

We went for a long walk along the harbour, enjoyed the sunshine, and I picked a little wild flower bouquet for some meditations to do tonight and this week. :)

Sure. But then the boat would probably be gone long before it could get the weapon off.

To be sure, I never can tell with despot leaders — and I’m not sure NK can actually reach the continental US. Which is why Guam was mentioned.

Christopher Reeve as Superman. I’ve always had good, and largely unattainable, good tastes. LOL

Thing to note: US bases in other countries are considered “the US” — which is why they’ve singled out Guam (which is also a US territory) already.

Living in the South Pacific, this is some real stuff. It just feels very, very close.

i hadn’t heard that in the super-crunch circles, but i have from regular folks, so i see that. :)

I agree. When most of my friends with young kids break up, it can take a long time to transition to new homes/etc.

my friend and her ex bought a house together after they broke up. sounds crazy, but ya know, sometimes it’s the right thing.

Crunchy families call it a “baby moon” and it manifests differently for different families, and of course, going to doctors appointments is fine.

I have done this. My normal way of walking around the world is Tilda Ice Queen. Would you like some Turkish Delight?

Don’t worry, now it’s happening where you can’t see or hear it, but once you hear about it, you’ll take up the charge and become Super Bitch as opposed to “Person of Aggrieved Group, the younger members of which are currently facing more harassment than older ones, because older ones are invisible and no longer scared

I agree wiht that.

Am I right that this wasn’t filmed in Aotearoa/NZ? Because that was my favourite part of the first season of Top of the Lake. NZ’s landscape was the best character. (I also live in NZ and moved to NZ because I visited NZ and said “holy shit, I need to move to NZ.)

Right? My husband and I are like “at what age can we leave the kid at home alone for several hours and go for walks again?” That was our FAVORITE THING before he had a bedtime and we couldn’t carry him around anymore.

White lady salons are boring and dry and terrible IMO. But, when I was (finally) inducted (probably the wrong word but that’s what it felt like) into the natural hair salon (because I needed some deep scalp treatments and she was the best) for black women, that was AWESOME. Sadly, I moved, and now it’s just white lady
