Yeah, the term is in its infancy so it makes sense that it is only used by certain groups and in certain situations. It’s fair to discuss why that is, how it might change/evolve, etc. I guess the main thing that irks me is the people saying “this term is never used”, even though it clearly is, especially when they

I’m hoping to finish the Heartland DLC for State of Decay 2.  It’s been surprisingly long, though part of that is just getting the special materials for the special grenades to weaken the special plague wall things.  It’s a bit annoying, but not as bad as I feared.  Just slow.

The tricky part there is that the phrase is just variations of “ladies and gentlemen”, which is calling out two specific genders, and is therefore less inclusive than a completely genderless term.

not at the whims of people that speak another language

I find it interesting that you say “no Latino identifies as Latinx”, despite the fact that exact thing happened in the article you just read.

That’s definitely an interesting wrinkle to the story. Unfortunately I don’t know IG, so I have no context on their reliability as a source for news or investigations. That said, I’d hope IG didn’t just accept Take Two’s info at face value, if only because TT has a vested interest (and the “receipts” may be in a form

I’m expecting at least one of these “enlightened” dudes to unironically quote “I contain multitudes” to excuse their hypocrisy.

Yeah, I started to think about it, and the only case that might fit is Rare. I had heard at the time that a number of people left after the purchase, though that was so long ago I’m not sure anymore. More likely all of the “good” people that made Rare’s most famous games had long since left.

If true that might explain why YouTube shut his channel down, though it could also just be that he got too many challenges on his videos. That said, the last thing I read implied the opposite, that he was sometimes paying people for insider info to report on it.

I used to work at a small video game company that did something similar, usually using employees’ faces for random NPCs. However, there wasn’t any mandate for who got in, so it was mostly the artists making the art plus their friends that ended up in the games (I was a programmer, so no chance for me T_T).

That’s probably the most valid use of the phrase that I’ve ever heard. The few times I’ve encountered it (thankfully only a few) were mostly by people that were assholes in real life and just wanted an excuse to do things in-game that they would be punished for in real life (stealing from party members, instigating

It makes me wonder if there were still issues with a maximum character limit.

I know meme history moves at light speed, but even then I’m not sure ‘classic’ is the right descriptor for a meme that’s only about 5 years old. In comparison, doge is about 5-6 years old, and I wouldn’t consider that classic either despite it being much more popular than this one.

Conceptually it reminds me of the late game for Crackdown, after you’ve leveled up your abilities to the point that you’re practically invulnerable and super enough to do almost anything you want.

I’m not having any luck finding info, but I vaguely recall back when Steam was new-ish that Valve worked with publishers to make certain games only available through Steam, completely foregoing physical copies, essentially making the games exclusives to Steam. However, that would have been 13+ years ago, so I could be

Assuming the Chaotic-Stupid character isn’t already the party rogue. Either way, in my experience the Chaotic-Stupid player is most likely the person repeatedly saying “but I’m just playing my alignment”.

Yeah, for Pathfinder the bard class is almost entirely a support class in combat (“I’m singing now, everyone gets +x to everything”). They really shine with non-combat tasks, primarily NPC interactions, but also other skills if there isn’t a rogue that already has them. So they’re great for a campaign that is more into

Players in Dungeons & Dragons can either roll their scores with six-sided dice or assign predetermined scores to their stats

It’s been years since I played SH2. Do any of the puzzles’ variations have differing locations to access? For instance, is the code for a specific puzzle always found in the same location no matter what the code is? Or can the location change? If they can be different then that might make certain seeds advantageous if

That’s fair.  I suppose ‘trigger’ would be a more accurate term.
