I’m not sure if I’ll have much time to play due to work in my house, but when I can play I’ll probably continue with Far Cry New Dawn with a friend, and probably Moonlighter on my own.

“Red Vines: Wish You Could Eat a Candle?”
Man, that game was probably more brutal than Ninja Gaiden.
Oddly, I’m getting a lot of Strider vibes, at least the NES version. Much more than Ninja Gaiden. Though, to be fair, I may be one of the few people that fondly remembers NES Strider, and it is way less popular than the NES Ninja Gaiden games.
I haven’t seen it yet, but the analyses above remind me of In The Mouth Of Madness for some reason.
I can’t even wrap my head around that response by Kslone. Peele just said he doesn’t plan to have a white dude as the lead in future movies. That is a very minimal limitation. Literally all other characters in the movie could be white. And somehow Peele’s statement translates to “Brad Pitt won’t work with a black…
Oddly, I was half expecting The Alchemist Cookbook ( https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5128826/ ) to be on the list, but now that I think about it the movie did have a few makeup and puppet effects.
I think this Steam version might be one way for Dwarf Fortress to take off, mainly because the game being offered is a specific, finite version of game. The problem I had when I tried to get into it years ago was that I wasn’t sure if I was getting the latest version, plus the fact that I wanted a graphical version,…
While Hemingway was probably correct, I have to disagree with anything he said as a matter of principle.
I think they’ve remade it at least twice, though the first time on PS1 essentially just added FMV cutscenes and a run button.
Such is the curse of most modern gamers (though it sounds like you’re in much better shape than I am as far as the backlog).
I had a similar worry because I got it for BotW, but they’ve been releasing so many good indie and oldschool titles that I haven’t been able to keep up.
I’m a little surprised Angry Video Game Nerd isn’t up there, since he was so influential on early YouTube, though if the picture is based on current viewer numbers then I suppose it makes sense.
I’ll always say this: Super Mario Bros. is a master class in game design. It teaches you everything you need to know without saying anything, and the design evolves throughout the game. I think all of the things you mentioned that 8-3 does compared to previous levels is a perfect example.
Probably a mix of things. Warriors Orochi 4 when I can get the livingroom TV to myself, otherwise Moonlighter and RE: Revelations on the Switch. And if one of my friends is online we’ll continue co-op of Saints Row 2.
Given the vast ocean of Minecraft clones in the Indies section I’d be hard pressed to remember the exact name of any one of them, other than having ‘mine’ or ‘craft’ as part of its name. Plus it’s probably been 7+ years since I actually looked in that section.
Also, tons of super basic games that used player avatars, though usually randomized. I can’t recall if I ever saw a Minecraft clone that also used avatars, but I wouldn’t be surprised.
Wait, there was a union ship bigger than the Orville in that battle?!
This review puts into words my feelings about the previous games and how they’re big, dumb, fun. I’ve liked other games for essentially the same reasons, such as the Earth Defense Force series, various Warriors games (especially the Warriors Orochi series), and the Saints Row series (especially SR4).
Yeah, Crackdown 2 was essentially “Crackdown 1, but all over again”, so I agree that in some ways it didn’t feel like a full price game, though that might be because I got Crackdown 1 used for about $20. When compared to huge AAA games like Arkham Knight, the Crackdown games seem to have less value. However, given the…
