I finally finished Dishonored 2, but couldn’t bring myself to try playing through again. It’s pretty fun, but I think I’ve done everything I really want to do.

I can sort of see how this slipped through, especially if both endings (and others?) are already on the disc. I wouldn’t be surprised if tons of unused files are on the disc, so they might have missed that the wrong video played if they only checked that any end credits video played. Also consider that the

I agree that song should be retired, mainly because of Glitter’s criminal acts, but also because I think the song is boring. Apparently it earns Glitter $250,000 per year in royalties, though the article I got that from was in 2014. To be fair, the NFL disallowed the song right away back in 2006, and overall it’s

I’d never heard of Wachenröder before now, but it certainly sounds interesting. For a Saturn Mini my main vote would be for Shining Force III, which would actually run well with updated hardware. Other good options would be Saturn Bomberman, Silhouette Mirage, and at least a few of the Capcom fighting games that ran

I completely forgot season 5 came out. Well there goes my other plans.

I’m finally about to finish Dishonored 2. I’m halfway through the final mission, so it might only take me 5 more hours (kidding). Once that’s done, now that I pretty much know all the levels, I might do a fast new game + run going purely stealth and avoidance.

The first pronunciation is the only one that makes sense for the title on American copies. However, the second pronunciation is how it’s spelled in Japanese, and how the game pronounced it. This could have all been avoided if they’d spelled the title in a way that makes sense to the original name.

This crown thing and all of the hat stuff suddenly reminded me of a game that Nintendo is (probably accidentally) copying:

To be fair, the most accurate comparison to the GTA situation would be a rando walking up to people playing Magic then flipping their table.

Are these aggressive players just doing it to troll?

I’m in the same boat.  I think it’s a cross between lucky and lazy.

Now that my livingroom and entertainment center are rearranged/setup I’ll be focusing on Dishonored 2 again, aiming to complete it this weekend (though probably not). Also, since I now have all my systems plugged in I’ll probably spend some time with old games from my backlog (I still need to finish Dragon Quest 8!)

Ah, okay.  I’ll have to check out the video.  Hopefully that will jog my memory.

This sounds like a missed chance to do something interesting with the narrative. So yes, the whole Cone Sector is supposed to be permit locked, but some of the systems aren’t. Frontier could have created a reason why some of the systems are “visible” (i.e. not permit locked), even if the players won’t know that reason

I can’t recall the missions, either. Did Vice City have an RC copter? I remember San Andreas did, though those missions were for David Cross’ character.

If that triggering was intentional by Romero then that raises a few questions for me. Was that already an option for the games triggering code? If so, how did we not know about it? However, if it was a bug did the devs know about it and use it to their advantage in this one instance?

I’ll probably play a little EDF 4.1 and Dishonored 2, though I’m planning to do a good amount of rearranging of my livingroom this weekend so that will probably eat into a lot of my time.  Hopefully my “entertainment center” rearranging will allow me to play SNES games again, in which case I’ll finally be able to try

That picture is a weird complaint to me. “The darkest parts of this game should look like the brightest parts of a completely different game!” Or, to take the argument to its logical conclusion, “Darkness should look like sunlight!” It’s especially weird to me since the background of the second Cyberpunk screenshot

This reminds me of the weirdly overblown complaints people had about a rainbow in Diablo 3 screenshots before it was released.

This is an interesting thought experiment, though it also just reminds me how much I hated 95% of popular music at the time.
