Not everything is a great source of comedy. People don’t like laughing at Obama because they like him, respect him, and think he does a good job. People love to laugh at W. Bush and Trump because they are stupid clowns with silly voices.

Do you think that might have to do with the fact liberals elect smart, reasonable, competent people like Barack Obama and conservatives elect reality TV stars and other fools?
And you’d still be fundamentally misunderstanding what “political correctness” actually its and instead just using it as a buzzword insult to shut up your opponents and stifle debate so that you don’t have to listen to other people or care about what they have to say.
You don’t watch, or understand, much comedy then do you?
I don’t think it’s getting outraged because a joke is off-color or edgy. There are plenty of great and legibly funny comics that push the envelope of what is ok to say. It’s just that telling those jokes is like walking a tightrope: without the right approach or context you risk saying something that is -inadvertently…
I literally can’t name a single funny comedian who A. Is right-wing or B. Complains about PC culture
I’ve found plenty of people here willing to discuss this as adults, but hyperbole will be responded to with hyperbole. There is no such thing as PC reeducation camps. 99% of comedy out there is not berating conservatives.
“PC” basically translates to, “Things I don’t care about and so just assume others don’t care about either, because I lack basic human empathy. Therefore anyone who claims to actually care about the things I don’t care about is either too stupid to realize that it’s not worth caring about, or they don’t really care…
“All liberals are a bunch of whiny SJWs!”
I would put it this way: South Park had the right of it when Kyle said, “Either all of it’s funny, or none of it is.”
The problem with that quote is that it can be easily misconstrued as a defense of divisive, shitty, and sometimes outright hateful behavior by those who will retreat behind the redoubt of, “It was just…
Because you’re constantly accusing people of “getting offended easily” when anyone criticizes your precious Trump waifu. If you were here for a discussion you wouldn’t just be bitching about how you can’t say racist shit and get people to laugh because saying something racist with no context isn’t funny, it’s just you…
“Liberals can’t take jokes” sounds like a gross over-generalization. The same can be said of conservatives. Conservatives also get boycotty and indignant when they feel that someone is targeting them. There are equal amounts of people on both sides who can’t take a joke.
One of the problems with people who complain about political correctness is 99% of them just want to be able to tell n* jokes without consequences.
To be fair, you started out by generalizing all liberals as having no sense of humor. That’s not exactly discussing things as adults.
if it’s white people you’re trashing we’ll let anything slide and then defend it. If it involves anyone else or it’s mocking a liberal...unleash hell.
You can get away with a lot of controversial jokes, you just have to be clever enough to do it and deliver it with the right context. I mean do you see people being offended by It’s Always Sunny? No because the jokes are told through the understanding that the protagonists are horrible people. Same thing with South…
I think you misunderstand. Liberals are still rolling their eyes at you because we think you’re stupid and tedious. It’s not about being offended, we just don’t like bigots-and there’s a difference between actual edgy comedy and bigotry.
You are such a blithering idiot. Liberals are the problem? First off liberals are the people that actually watch comedy and go to comedy clubs. The hotbeds of comedy are liberal cities like New York and LA. Comedy isn’t big in red states because right wingers are not funny or creative.
Are you looking for someone to say that forcefully detaining a 13 year old and discharging a firearm near a crowd of bystanders is the appropriate response to “being messed with”?
