That's ... a leap.

'Brave' is set in Scotland dude.

Well, to an extent - if it's influenced by your environment (family/friends/schooling/religion or lack of/socio-economic background/country/etc) then a person's morality will naturally be not wholly subjective in general.

Empathy, a little self interest and influence from family/peers/environment/past experience etc. For example, a baby isn't moral - it is totally self interested. Morality is learned/absorbed/developed as we grow (ideally anyhow).

I don't think Selter is like Baartman - rather the content of the article, which dealt with the treatment of WOC's bodies, reminded me of her case. The article was also not really about Selter's fame; it was commenting on how bodily features which are maligned/exoticised in WOC are lauded when they appear of the

UK English teacher here - that's standard as I understand it.

That's an interesting idea, but I suspect it's most likely good old-fashioned institutional racism.

It's from this article:

See also: 'the only moral abortion is my abortion'.

Reminds me of Saartjie Baartman a bit - women of colour's bodies treated as curios and exoticised/fetishised rather than as standards of beauty.

I had no idea how to play either! Luckily the sport I chose was rugby, where the ability to fall over and get hit in the head is actually a plus.

A friend made me fresh pancakes with pineapple and coconut yoghurt the other day. Was scrummy!

How about joining a sports team? I moved to a new country not knowing anyone, and ended up joining a team and knowing a ton of girls.

Yup. It sucked and I ended up heartbroken. If they love/respect you they would only be with you, no ifs or buts.

You're awesome.

*Monocle pops out*

That is what centuries of inbreeding will do to ya.

My nose started bleeding trying to follow all that, but you are super beans smart.
