Aw thanks, that's great advice! I was hoping to buy some new clothes : ) Turns out my first paycheck will actually be a bit late, as they messed up my details etc, so have had to borrow some money to see me through this month. But come November I can pay off all debts and have a wee bit left over for some fun : )

Can you really see yourself never telling him? Also, from the sounds of it you wouldn't be confessing to cheating; you'd be telling him someone took advantage of you. That's totally different and he shouldn't be angry with you for that.

Ok, then that sounds really off to me. No matter how drunk you are, it doesn't mean that someone can take advantage of you.

Thanks!! That gif pretty perfectly sums up what I did as soon as I was alone after I was told I had the job : )

If you were that drunk that you can't remember it, it's incredibly sketchy that the guy went ahead and slept with you. When you say personal accountability, do you mean that at some point in the night you decided to get with this guy, and then got too drunk to re-think it, or do you just mean the fact that you got

It's also only the second week I've had this class, so I'm still getting to grips with their names as well. On the plus side, if I totally can't remember a

Dara (Daire/Darragh) is quite a common Irish name that ends with an 'a' sound.

What have the Romans ever done for us?!

One of my first jobs after I moved to Ireland was teaching at an Irish-language school. Almost all of the kids had Irish names, and I had absolutely NO idea how to pronounce any of them. Aoife, Fichra, Oisin, Sibh, Meadbh . . . the first time I read out the register there was much giggling.

I have a class of about 27 13/14 year olds at the moment, and 11 of them share 3 names. It gets ver ver confusing.

YOU LEGEND

Awwww you're totally awesome.

Oh Michael Gove - just pipe the fuck down and stop wrecking English education.

I would dispute the assertion that education is 'female-friendly' in design, but would like to point out that there are a number of initiatives to enable boys to succeed in school. For example, when I was training as a teacher it was highlighted that the most underperforming group in the UK are white working class
