I really want to insert a gif of Tim from Spaced biting his knuckles here, but it's not working for some reason.

I think that the 'gift package' idea is really nicely meant, but I would worry that it would upset and humiliate him, especially if left out on his workspace for everyone to see. I think the manager should be the one to handle it. The best thing the co-workers can do is to just continue to treat him nicely and not

Really good advice from the other posters - I would add that if you're going to have a whole-group discussion situation, you may want to announce the question first (Who was your favourite character and why, etc) and have them discuss the question in twos or threes first. Ms Duke Silver's advice is great, I second all of that. I had a long-distance relationship for 19 months, which fully sucked but luckily we were both in cities with airports so we could organise transport to see each other without too much trouble (although it got expensive).

Congrats on the new job! And AMAZING costume!

Hi! I moved to Ireland last year, and have been mostly unemployed so it was hard to make friends through work the way you normally would. Well that is just damnably sexual.

Moved to Ireland and started getting lots of ads for Crisis Pregnancy centres and Anti-Abortion groups. shudder

Aw so cute!!

Perfect gif is perfect.

OT, but . . . you have a hedgehog?!?!

This. I'm sure I thought I had equally profound and important things to say at 15.

Yes! I was just going to post this.

I don't understand that either. It's stupid, but I feel personally quite disappointed when actors I admire work with him.

Thank you! I did do a bit of a PatStew quadruple take at that!

I think it's because they desperately want their children to be noticed/recognised for being special and important, and if the kids are (like most kids, really) perfectly average then they invent/exaggerate stuff. Their kid has to be different from all the other kids, you know?
