Yeah, I legitimately think that if it wasn’t released as a metroid game, it would have actually been received as a pretty good game sans the characterization.

DS2 was kind of a letdown, but as a lot of people speculated, it was mainly the B-team that was working on it, while the A-team was working on bloodborne. This could them not wanting the last Dark souls to end on a let-down. Hopefully the A-team will be working on it this time.
