I saw it at the Philly Film Festival - Anna Kendrick is a god. She sings and acts it so well. Jeremy Jordan also does a great job, though I think I'll always prefer Norbert Leo Butz in the role. As much as I loved it, it *felt* like a low-budget movie, and I didn't think the director did that great a job pulling

SAME! I would go shopping there with my friends and see adorable/fun t-shirts and fall in love... and just fooled myself into thinking they weren't way too short for me, and made me look like I'd had an overnight Big-style growth spurt.

Not sure about your shape, but I've gotten pretty lucky at Gap over the years with reasonably priced long jeans. And they have an extra tall that's online exclusive that is *crazy long*. I'm 5'10" and can only wear them with my taller heels, or roll them up (took me a day wearing to realize I was dragging them on the

If this were Law & Order, we'd have spent more time looking at her older boyfriend as the red herring in act 1.

Amen - this is the conversation I had with my parents over the podcast. We were split on whether Adnan is guilty, but in 100% agreement that there was a miscarriage of justice either way, starting with the police investigating, and after this week's episode, including at least some incompetence on the part of his

My mom taught me this a long time ago - towels, linens, & blankets work well for wedding & baby showers. When putting together a gift basket, try to use "relevant" filling (e.g. I put together a picnic gift basket for a friend's wedding, and used a picnicking blanket to fill the bottom of the basket - a basket she can

I come from two families who kept giving their sons the same names (John got passed down on one side, James on the other), so the estrangement over picking out the same names is foreign to me. Either use the same name, or get over it and pick another. Your kid will be fine either way.

That was the part of the article I had a problem with. I find it hard to believe that most racists nowadays have ever actually watched Birth of a Nation. It's a long-ass silent film. I get it, it's a joke, but... who other than college kids studying film, history, or race relations has seen that movie all the way

That's right - a conservative couple who need the income from the pregnant wife's job so they have enough money to support the baby on the way certainly shouldn't care whether there are laws to keep her employer from firing her for being pregnant. It's totally subjective whether those pregnancy discrimination laws are

Do people not understand that c-sections involve CUTTING YOU OPEN? Sorry for the all-caps, but it seemed like the only way to express how I feel about that idea. They have to cut you open big enough to get a baby out. Show your male colleagues that scene from Alien and see how they feel then.

The key is probably to think of "disability" as "in need of accommodations for medical reasons."

I find it better to get more specific than "action required" or "urgent" - I will specifically say how urgent when I can (e.g. "Approval needed by EOD") and usually try to specify actions (e.g. "For review:" "Approval needed" etc) so that the email subject line resembles a to-do list. Basically, sum up exactly what

I can see the appeal of freezing instead of washing - washing puts tights at risk of catching on something, whereas that's not going to happen if they're in a bag in the freezer. I'll wait to see if anyone can prove that either method actually works.

I live in a dense area where it's easy to find a gas station - I'd have to fill my tires let's say 20x to get back the money from the AAA compressor. I'll give you that I would save in time and inconvenience, but for me personally it doesn't quite add up. It would take me a minute or so to fill up at the gas station

If you guys can post the photo of the display, it's totally worth seeing - what I like about it is that yes, there is an angel falling towards a fiery pit, but... it's not explicitly violent. Not like Jesus nailed to a cross or anything. And honestly, if you're walking by with a really young kid, you could easily

Read the original Slate article - they address some court decisions that led the Florida government to think it was okay to have religious displays out, as long as they let everyone in. Not that I agree, but it's worth reading.

Thanks for responding! I'm already aware that I'm cheaper than most of your target audience - I shop outlet sales to get that quality vs price balance, and usually end up at stores in the mid to low price range . I do like many of the suggestions for preppy that came up, but if you had a like/dislike feature, they

If only they had like and dislike buttons, to improve suggestions over time. I think that would be a huge help in narrowing down to specific individual tastes from such bland initial options.

They definitely fit both definitions of the word "basic." I think it would be better if you could like or dislike every suggestion, which would then improve their suggestions over time - I'd be willing to put that work in if I thought it could get better at suggesting looks for me.
