Thank you for improving my day! It's like a museum in my browser - I've had rotating art as my desktop background for a while, but I rarely see it with all of my open windows. This is much better, and a great breath of fresh air while working.

I also took one look at the map and thought "Ha! I've been telling people for years there's no reason to visit Pittsburgh - validation!"
Bringing new meaning to "shark week"
Really? You're going with that one? Ok then.
Caveat: the interruption only works if it's part of the banter of the joke. When either of my parents tells an old funny story, the other will butt in constantly, but it works because it's a back-and-forth that's adding to the story instead of distracting from it.
That's so crazy. I live in an outlying area of Philly with very low crime, and homes with high property values nearby - and my 2 bedroom is less than half that.
Wow, let's all bow down because you've got it all figured out. For one thing, the doctor wage gap I'd put down to both 1) older doctors, who would make more, are disproportionately men - women in the field are more likely to be younger and 2) the fields that female doctors go into make less money than ones that male…
Except Jill Hotshot's skills might not be as much in demand because they're underestimated by her employer or potential employer (and maybe even by Jill Herself), so Bob Average might get overvalued compared to her. All it takes is a little thinking to realize how simplistic your theory is - not everyone is…
What is it about being rich that makes people so boring?
I'm not the only one! My mom thinks I'm super cheap for re-brewing teabags, but the quality brands still have flavor the second time around, and you can brew for longer without getting a bitter taste. Harney & Sons is my favorite to re-brew, especially their Tropical Green and Cinnamon teas.
I'm looking forward to trying "My History Can Beat Up Your Politics" - we can consider it an exchange :)
I read this early on in high school, and it was a perfect age to be introduced to the book, at least for me. I could go into history classes with eyes open to what they were leaving out, and it lead me to seek out those "alternative" stories. The key was showing people how biased our history education is in the US,…
Try Backstory instead - I love that these guys know their stuff, and feature guests who do, too:
That does add a different context - you were "those kids" instead of "who are those kids?"
I really don't want to give any strangers hugs - you have to earn my personal space, regardless of how you dress, who you are... and I saw right through you a-holes who saw yourself as "superior" to me because I'm not "free" enough to hug a stranger who accosts me on the street. And it's not just Goth kids who try it,…
I wouldn't trust this particular writer to know how to write a screenplay because she's big on telling instead of showing, and lingers on ridiculously insignificant details that should have been left out of the book, let alone a movie that needs to move along quickly.
I think they'd have to release the second movie almost right away - within a year, & one right after the other to catch momentum. Or make it next Valentine's Day & try to make it a "tradition" or something, and capitalize on women having increased decision-making power on which movie they go see. If it's delayed and…
When chairs have spindly legs it's so much more obvious when you put the front legs on the rug and the back ones off. I honestly think it's not too big a deal if your rug is super thin, but they definitely broke the rules there.
Snow days make me wish I could wear PJs or sweats to work. I'm very jealous :)
Layers! Done.
