Here’s your article, people. I wonder why it took so long? Look at all these tributes. RIP, Mike.

Monolith has a very interesting development model where they have a bunch of staff that are employed a lot like a consultancy, so they basically get moved around and assigned to work where there’s a need for them based on how the project’s going. Nintendo often brings them in to support other development, eg they…
You say that, but I really appreciate it. I like the quick shotgun blast of thoughts and opinions from multiple sites and people versus a single individuals deep dive. Sometimes you just don't want to read a whole review.
I liked when the kitty got a bag stuck on its head.
I’ll start this by saying that anyone is free to feel insulted by whatever they feel insulted by. But I - an Asian-American living in a third world country - really think this criticism is stretching a bit.
Its owned by Disney now so...it's a small galaxy after all?
FF7 in three parts? Or as we called them in the 90s, “discs”.
Death stranding is never coming to switch. Maybe on switch 2 for $60 lol
Same. There are games that would be great on Switch that are just not out yet, and the Steam Deck is the perfect compromise, and the only real compromise is that it’s a bit bigger.
I can’t help but imagine that even those games that are available on the Switch perform significantly better on the Deck.
I think the most important thing for me has been the cost difference. I have both and I’m giving my Switch away to a family member because I don’t see myself every using it again.
This is what I expected. The Steam Deck will become a direct competitor to the Switch as a convenient handheld device suited for games with short sessions with simple UI and inputs. A lot of the examples here are going to be games that already shine on the Switch: Ori, Stardew Valley, Hades, etc.
I’m hoping once I get my hands on a Steam Deck it’s more comfortable than the Switch. I play Switch exclusively docked because the damage I’ve sustained to my hands over the years has made it so holding a Switch, sitting or laying down, contorts my wrists in a way that hurts and often causes numbness. The large…
It doesn’t surprise me. I bought mine because I wanted to play games on the go with more powerful hardware. Witcher 3 looks considerably better on Steam Deck (with better battery life) than Switch. Plus, games like Stardew have modding capabilities on the Deck.
I haven’t picked up my Switch since I got it, it’s all…
For me, the deck is the perfect way to play games that aren’t available (yet) on Switch. In my first few weeks with it, I’ve played through Alan Wake, Shadow Tactics, and Portal 2, and I’m gonna be playing through Control, Death Stranding, Elden Ring, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, and Tunic next.
Im not surprised. I mean, when I had my vita I'd just remote play digimon world before bed or play a couple of games of destiny.
I like the Switch Deck because I while enjoy both the PC and the portable experience, even for low spec games, the real draw is the Steam Cloud save feature that lets me easily swap between them.
apparently deck gamers are smart enough to play games that fit the hardware footprint and leave demanding games to big consoles/pc.
Games I have on both I’ve defaulted to Steam Deck while also frequently thinking about how this would be fine on Switch. But if the Steam Deck is giving me the same experience as Switch (or better) then I would rather buy and play games on PC where I can more easily access them down the road and have interoperability…
A disturbing number of professional smash players were exposed for grooming underage girls and other nasty stuff. So that means it’s okay for people to label the entire playerbase as such every chance they get!
