Maybe this is just the vegetarian in me talking, but I fail to see the problem. People who eat meat are so weird about only eating “the right” kinds of meat. No parent would have complained if they had put pork in the turkey chili without telling parents first, but kangaroos are cute, so we can’t eat them.

I once lost like 12 hours of my life to that thread and compromised my kidneys because I was too scared to get out of bed and use the bathroom.

Well, he wasn’t there to talk to you, you see.

He was there to talk to the treadmill.

I already contributed, but I’m writing another one where *I* was the horror on the first date.

If I were innocent, I would try very hard to tell the truth, not obfuscate, or turn the question around on interviewers. I would also insist on an FBI investigation to clear my good name. If I did it, I would probably get pretty frustrated, have a hard time answering questions and I would get angry and try to blame

I would feel more optimistic if I wasn’t in a blue state watching people I grew up around become more and more hate oriented. These people weren’t bad people but the constant stream of Facebook and Brietbart they consume has slowly been changing them over the last year. They are basically throwing away real life

For the umpteenth time. Not getting a SCOTUS seat would NOT ruin his fucking life. He would STILL be seated on the second highest court on the country. Get some fucking perspective.

Wow.

Grey here too. It’s both heartening and heartbreaking that yesterday, the National Sexual Assault Hotline got a 201% increase in calls during the hearing.

I don’t mean to sidetrack from the issue but it drives me nuts, as a Deaf man, that a website that touts and makes hay from touting (or ramming down) progressive ideals constantly pushes out podcasts without transcripts or videos without captions.

As someone from LA, this skit has always held a special place in my heart. The directions bit kills me every time because I know exactly what they’re saying.

More when I was younger. I knew right away when I met people whether we would be close friends or not. And those people I knew it about are still mostly very close friends, 30 years later.

I’m in a “buy nothing” group on facebook where you can give and receive stuff you would otherwise trash or donate to other members in your community, someone posts their offering and you comment beneath if you’d like to have it. Recently a lady was giving away a bunch of disposable plates and utensils leftover from a

I hold to my interpretation of it as a malfunctioning grooming instinct.

You don’t. Having an active lesion is a surefire way to know that you can spread it, but you can be shedding the virus without an active lesion. I remember reading a while back that about 10% of the time, you’re shedding, whether you have an active outbreak or not.

I kind of feel her struggle. I know this is shocking to some but there are people out there who take their marriage vows seriously, who understand they married an imperfect human being and are willing to help their partners struggle through their imperfections and work toward being better. Of course there sometimes

Yeah true - the entire movie ended being very deterministic, where it doesn’t matter what the characters do...which explains that bird-in-the-bushes scene early on. It was a sign of things to come.

“To reveal details would be a detriment to the experience of watching the film”

My brother, who has shall we say, a unique perspective on what others might see as mundane tasks, has an interesting method of pitting an avocado. He slices off either end, then pushes the pit out one side.

Seamstress here and there were issues with the fit of both of those dresses, but especially the wedding one. I don’t know if they ran out of time or convinced her that’s how it was supposed to look...?
