I did not see either movie, but TBF the first one was (very) loosely based on the true story of the current Danish crown prince. I believe lol.

Ah, but it is so much more than Hot Priest! To me, it is a show of family dynamics, and how you can find deep love, friendship and humor in your family, but also great sadness and betrayal. Honestly to me, the Hot Priest storyline was only one of several about the complexities of loving someone.

I have a similar one: there was this Indian place that had *THE BEST* Indian food. My Indian bf said it tasted like his grandma’s cooking and the closest thing he’d had to ~*real*~ indian food in the US. It was SO. GOOD. It was also nearly always empty. In 2008 I went to college and begged my parents to go order me a

100% serious here - where have you actually heard a person espouse the ideas you’re suggesting? Is it mostly other men online who are discussing why they dislike feminists? I walk in a whole lot of feminist circles, and the only place I *ever* hear about the terrible man-hating feminist bogeyman is from men.... who

So, the problem here is that you define Feminism by what you believe and not what it is, thus why people would decry you an MRA. From what you describe, I do believe you are a feminist, except for the fact you’re making yourself look like you hate women.

One of the more frustrating aspects of my relationship with my husband is that I will make a joke, he will repeat it louder, and everyone will laugh.

We had a bell on our kitten for a while, and then I read up that it can damage their hearing :( Bc their ears are so much more sensitive and the bell is so close

When I was in high school not that long ago (11 years+), we used our school nurse in that way... I’m not sure she was an official mental health professional, but we went to her when a friend was cutting, when a friend had abusive/alcoholic parents, etc.. She both helped us as friends, and reached out to the student in

My dad will just interject intentionally antagonist “liberal” buzz words into conversation. I was talking about how my male kitten drives my female adult cat crazy and he goes “probably that TOXIC MASCULINITY AMIRITE ” har har. Its super fucking annoying. He also does the “IS THAT NOT POLITICALLY CORRECT MYBAD.” And

This to me reads like he’s priming his base to accept his eventual state run propaganda arm....

My older sister is a professional that makes *good* money in California, and has been working since 2013.... and she just managed to buy a house and only because my mom provided a decent chunk of the down payment, which my sister is paying back interest free.

Certain vitamin deficiencies can cause a metallic taste in your mouth, like B12 or D, which would make sense in someone with an eating disorder.... also, I’d definitely believe that the acid associated with purging could cause changes in taste

I think her canines look p dece.... seems like maybe she evened out her laterals which were pretty small and the canines look less prominent in comparison *contemplates*

Yeah, I’m a dentist now, several of my classmates in school were quite religious and when we discussed they believed “micro-evolution” - so like the evolution we can observe in bacteria - exists, but that “macro-evolution” - like humans - does not.

This photo, and the art behind Reagan’s head, reminds me of the rheumatologist I went to who had pencil drawings of Reagan, GWB, GHWB on hanging on his office walls. I told him I was studying anthropology at the time, and he said “Ah, so you believe we all came from dolphins and all that.” Mmm... what a time to be

I just gave the series to my 13 year old cousins for xmas 2018... it did occur to me that it might not have aged well, but I attribute my deeply rooted feminism and sense of self worth to reading books such as these in my formative years. I figured their mom could read them if she cared to

I’m not trying to be an ass.... what is racist about this? I can see sexist, as women are told they’re being too demanding or dramatic frequently. Are asian people stereotyped as divas? Or is it just generally non-white people are more frequently labeled “diva” than white people are? Or something else :(

I’ve only listened to the soundtrack but am soooo annoyed when they cast big names who CANT SING in a MUSICAL - see Emma Watson in Beauty and the Beast or Seth Rogan as Pumbaa. No amount of star power makes up for an average singer in a beloved musical.

Ahhh we used to go snipe hunting when we would go camping as kids. Great fun.

It looks campy enough to be fun?
