Jez hive mind - I was considering surprising my fiance by singing a song at the wedding that is sentimental for a couple reasons BUT it is the same artist as our first dance. Too much of one artist? Thoughts?

I don’t know what it was about that video that really made think of a mall... like being in a Bebe or something. The costuming? The music itself? A combo?
I signed up and what I found sneaky is that you click “skip month” and it brings you to a separate page with lots of flashy pictures and in tiiiiiiiiiiiny print it says “are you sure you want to skip?” I got charged the first month because I didn’t realize I actually needed to skip twice (eyeroll). And THEN to…
My favorite leggings (don’t know about yoga pants) have recently come from Victoria’s Secret for work out leggings or Spanx for fashion leggings. I am surprised at how much I like the VS ones. They are thick and well made. I don’t really wear their underwear but I’m pretty sold on their work out gear at this point.…
Same! I think its a combo of me being a girl, and that I like the girl names in my family (and my BFs) more than the boy names in our families.
I am unsure if my K reference was understood.

In dental school, a future oral surgeon said to me, “You people are way too concerned with saving teeth. Just pull them out.”
Even if someone was from Houston you’d have to ask them where they were *really* from because that place is so damn big LOL. No but really, like the Woodlands or Sugarland?
I live in TX, from California. I’m *so* tired of people asking where I’m from and then watching their eyes shutter when they hear the answer. You can see their judgement of me (white girl) completely change in an instant. It’s crazy. Sometimes they follow it up with “Oh I’m so sorry” or “why would you want to go back…
Is college an option? I swear my international friend (raised in Texas) went straight from whatever legal status she had from her parents to a student visa and is now on a work visa. Maybe? I don’t know the details, but she never spent any time “illegal” and she definitely turned 18 under her parents documentation.
LOL it is LITERALLY the hunger games
I’m late to this convo, but did anyone read Mercedes Lackey as a teen? I didnt see them mentioed here. Those were the books I moved to after Tamora Pierce.
I made my bf read Throne of Glass because I loved it so much - I warned him the sex scenes in the 5th book were terrible and he just caaaaannot get past them. Gotta say I kinda agree.
Its actually impossible to watch. like, just talk, lady!
I remember as kids always thinking he was creepy, and my sister and I would always make jokes about how weird his “love” message came off. Surely there were other kids that also picked up on this?? What about the adults?
Yeah, I was in Houston for 6 years and never felt like I was a lone brave liberal in a conservative place (lol). Then I moved to SA for dental school, and have a ton of retired military types as my faculty. Some of them are wonderful open minded people, and some of them are genuinely sexist turds, but both control my…
I agree with everything you’ve said here, but want to add that sometimes that kind of posting can be brave in and off itself, and allows the protest to reach people who might not have otherwise had access to it.
Perhaps he just a large sentient blob of fat and gas, no bones, organs or muscles.
My grandmother was Danish. My great-grandmother was Eleanor, my great aunt was Ellen, and my grandma was Ellie.
