Brian messed up
precisely. Are you positive that it wasn't on DSM-4? I am just lazy trying to find out since I would have to find out where to look first, and I am not that much of a smartass anymore, but I am still curious.
Well, "highly functioning" is pretty relative. The amount of energy that sometimes goes into just functioning could be spent a lot better being brilliant but odd. It's a bit like using all your concentration on taking exactly 15 breaths every minute, because that's the norm, while some people need only 7 and others 23…
I only know Asperger's as "Highly Functioning Autism", so it has been on the spectrum for quite a while (at least since 2007), which is also reflected in most of the popular aspie sites.
I would say the failure to understand was intentional. Accuracy vs. page impressions. You get more readers if you say "Aspergers is Gone" than if you say "Aspergers is Gone from the manual".
"That's something like the idea that altitude training will improve your oxygen flow and help you move longer distances without tiring, which it does". Well, no. Altitude training is primarily designed to increase to increase the amount of red blood cells. More like EPO.
I have heard, fencing also does. Depending on the choice of weapons.
Well, that's what doggy style is for. I could even rest my laptop...well....nevermind...
If being abusive and fascist is witty, yes, that post was witty. But probably just a troll anyway.
so, Jesus makes errors. I used to correct them. But by just pointing out the error and what I believed to be the right version. No need to go from the particular to the general and calling him out on it (all while being wrong as the helpful swarm has already pointed out). Everybody makes mistakes and you make it sound…
Yeah, downhill definitely. The last time I did it, my first conscious memory was me looking at the back of my feaver curve in hospital and seeing something like the hiragana for "YO" written on it, because I was supposed to be going to a Japanese intensive course after the vacation. Bugger was, though, the course had…
yup, I saw various in the couple months I was in Den Haag, and I wasn't at the beach in Kijkduin all that often, so there must have been quite a few more to go around (so to speak;-) )
liked that
"a rear pain" - I can see what you did there, but I am still not sure if I wouldn't have liked "a pain in the rear" better... Matter of taste, I guess.
So, I took this photo off the coast in Kijkduin, Netherlands, where we were wind- and kitesurfing, in 2006. Not one, but two waterspouts at the same time, at one moment there was even a third one trying to touch down from one of the clouds (you can see it as a hairline, entangled with the right one of the big guys),…
Jesus is...a historic reality. I bet Jesus agrees.
there must be a wormhole somewhere down the line.
so you say. Thanks for pointing that out for me.
