Yes! Even though the jokes are funny in their own right, the fact that every situation is ultimately the result of and resolved by all the family members being so supportive of each other and inherent love for each other is what makes this my favorite show on TV right now.

Maybe your family didn’t like it and never ordered it or went anywhere that sold it? I’ve seen it at literally every place that sells Chinese BBQ. Sometimes they hide it with all the other “scary” stuff that the non-Chinese find disarming, but it’s always been there. Lots of dim sum places have it, too.

Also, beef is a luxury since it takes so much to raise and slaughter beef. Too much land, water and labor just for one cow. Pigs, chickens and ducks were/are so much easier and cheaper to farm.
