Thanks to everyone who posted pics of their cutie kitties! Totally made my day!

Aw, a former landlady had a very old, 21 year-old male cat named Truman that died during my first year living at that apartment. So I automatically love cats named Truman... :)

Oh, I went through the worst of my cold yesterday, and I was seriously wishing for a kitty to take care of me while I lay in bed all day, aching away. So jealous! :)

Jealous jealous jealous!!!!

Oh man, I was totally gonna post supporting Josh Charles in “Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead”. That look on his face when he’s confronting Swell at the fashion show...

He was also, according to Yoko Ono, extremely kind and generous to Sean Lennon after John’s death. Such a wonderful person...

::sigh:: He was just so beautiful, inside and out.

Now playing

Bye, Mary. Best of luck in everything, and thanks for bringing so much joy to Saturday nights!

Whoa. That galley...I think I just got dizzy! :)

Thanks. It’s not so much wrongful termination as them trying to get away with being shitty people and unprofessional as hell. I don’t want to get into the specifics in such a public forum, and I dunno how to DM you via Kinja, unfortunately, but I am going to call the appropriate state labor division first thing Monday

Thanks. The state Wage and Hours Division website said it typically takes up to six weeks for them to investigate. I definitely have copies of all relevant paperwork and communications, so that helps for now...

I’m heating up this leftover dish I made Monday that’s been sitting in my fridge:

Even smarter than we thought he was! Love him so much...

I’m so sorry for your loss. Internet and kitty hugs all around.

Hiya, Jezzies. Has anyone ever filed a formal complaint (successful or not) against a former employer to a State or Federal agency? I am going to do so soon and just wanted to hear how the process was for you...

Thank you! Here’s to “long weekends” for everyone! :)

It was my supervisor’s plan from t least October. She could have left at any time since she had a job lined up, but she was waiting for us to get our jobs first. And of course, as soon as the new year hit, we were able to get new jobs really fast. But yeah, we all knew, if we left at the same time, it’d send a bigger

Pretty sure the one that called out to me at the library was Bowie: The Biography by Wendy Leigh. The second one was...David Bowie: Starman by Paul Trynka. Both were good, but I remember liking the Wendy Leigh one slightly better.

Really? He’s also been quotes on paper saying he was knocked out of his gourd on cocaine during the entire shoot. He really enjoyed throwing us for a loop, didn’t he? :)

And how he kisses the guy back...but is not having it when the woman tries the same thing! LOL!
