Ha, I wish I nailed the actual AP Calc finals that the teacher gave...I think I scraped by with a C+/B- on that one. She might have taken it easy on the class because we were all seniors and had senioritis already.

Maybe you unconsciously keep yourself at a distance from those who would like to get to know you better and vice versa? I don’t know. If the problem is not finding like-minded people at work, then maybe it might be fun to go to certain non-work social events like classes, volunteering events, etc.? As a pretty shy

I sort of feel this way politically, and I really try hard to not use hoity-toity language or make obscure references (especially historical) to everyone at work. It’s not that I’m refusing to be myself, I just realize that a lot of that shit isn’t funny or amusing to most people. And it’s not that I think everyone is

I seriously should have failed AP Calc in high school, or gotten a D based on my test results alone, but the teacher saw that I was working my ass off, showing every bit of work on my problems, doing all the extra homework problems, asking her questions, etc. So she gave me a Cs and Bs. And I got a 2 on my AP Calc

Exactly where I get my stuff, too! For wooden furniture or any seating or bedding, I like to buy new when I can afford it because there’s a huge termite problem where I am, and I just don’t trust Craigslist or thrift stores. Ross/Marshalls/TJ Maxx/Homegoods for that kind of stuff, or from a trusted friend/family

Don’t even give this article a second thought. The fact that it took the author so much effort into finding support for her personal opinion and body insecurities is a sign that you should just focus on your fabulous self and not pay attention to the opinion of one stranger. If this article was meant to be satire,

Yeah, one of the best things was they mixed ridiculously artsy, subtle and highbrow with just the stupidest lowbrow (but still hilarious) stuff (probably influenced by Monty Python...along with the cross-dressing as women). Man, I miss this on my TV. Thank goodness for Youtube. :)

Aw, it doesn’t. Don’t use dull blades, though. I get these single-blade, VERY sharp. protected-with-wires blades made in Japan at the Japanese stores, and they’re perfect for maneuvering around the face. Just be as gentle as possible, and I only have to “shave” every two weeks or so. Been using the same blade for over

Seriously, the Washington Post and a lot of spoiled assholes who love their dishwashers are just blind to the fact that this is just not possible for the vast majority of people who don’t have a dishwasher already.

Nah, you just gotta know where to shop in China... Meaning none of the super touristy places.

While I have been enjoying Broad City better in its second season, Bob’s Burgers is clearly the best show on TV right now. :)

Yeah, I mean, she’s gorgeous, there’s no doubt about it, but her fashion choices... I just don’t get it. Do people just love her because she doesn’t give a fuck? Because if that’s the case, why do they hate on people like Chloe Sevigny? There’s so many double standards on this blog that sometimes I get so confused...

I can’t wrap my head around people living relatively affluent (compared to the rest of the world) lives who don’t know that sushi involves raw fish most of the time. I mean, do they not watch movies or tv? Ever?

My bro worked at a 99 cents store for a couple of summers. Every single day, at least one out of every 3 customers would balk when he told them the price post-tax ($1.05. 6% sales tax). He would come home and say, “If one more person says, ‘I thought this was a 99 cents store! That’s not 99 cents! False Advertising!’,

Hearing real cooks/chefs on TV pronounce it “chi-pole-tay” seriously sets me off. Like nails on a chalkboard...

Seriously, I find very few people who hate teaching anyone else about a new cuisine, whether they grew up with it or are familiar with it or not.

The hardest thing to “teach” ignorant people is that their ignorance is hurtful to others when they keep insisting that it’s not their job to know everything about things they don’t really care to know unless it benefits them personally in some way. To them, their ignorance is just an excuse for any number of things

I know that people here LOVE pickled green mango, but I love my mango best when it’s ripe and sweet. I keep it simple: cut mango and sprinkle with li hing mui powder, which is the sweet/salty/sour powder used for Chinese pickled plums. It’s sold everywhere here.

Alas, no tomatoes. They probably do well in the tropical climate, but for some reason, not a lot of people grow them here (Hawaii). Maybe because there are too many pests?
