Jalopnik poll: How many more HPDEs should Raph do before he can properly review this type of race car?
a) 2
b) 5
c) 10
d) Because of #orloved Raph is too much of a liability properly review this type of race car

That’s Toronto Motorsports Park in Cayuga, Ontario. I go lapping there all the time. Represent!

I’d be curious to see telemetry showing how much the electric side of the performance is used in a lap of The Ring. My understanding is that it’s mainly used to pull the car out of lower speed corners and possibly like the P1 to torque fill where the engine’s response isn’t optimal, again typically lower rpm areas. Using Car and driver’s test data from a 1985 Porsche 928 (0-60 in 5.7 seconds) I plugged the numbers in. Doc and Marty still got squashed at around 69mph. However Marty would have gotten up to 83mph, so it is plausible that if he got around that corner with good enough speed that he might have been able to get it up

Looking at some acceleration curves you can see that up to 60mph, drawing a straight line is a pretty reasonable assumption for a cocktail napkin type calculation.

The real question I have is... if you were to put together a compilation of “That’s what she said...” comments from this little experiment how many would there be?

Speaking of games with hilariously easy to modify .txt mission files... that should have been on this list...

Now go back and watch the video at 1.5x speed.

You bring the car that you fucked Stacy in during senior year, remind her of the good times, and then hope with a few alcoholic beverages she gets nostalgically moist and will want to have another go. In the event that the plan backfires, you can at least do some burnouts in the parking lot like you use to back in the

He was fired from Top Gear. Suprise... there’s a new show called Straight Cut Gear and the hosts are Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May!

She must be from Florida...

Dat overspray tho...

I've seen a car written off at the track covered by insurance before, it had something to do with the fact that it was considered a driving education program though, not just simply a lapping day (it was an accredited HPDE school that is tax deductible as tuition)

They are at $0.0175 currently... will be dead soon at this rate.

I want this car to be what the FR-S isn't... the FR-S with 300hp.
